Summer is in full swing around here! During the first week of summer, we have been to the movies (Rio 2), started swim team and tennis, done private swim lessons with Miss Carolyn, attended Cub Scout Day Camp, participated in 11 year old Scout camp, and gone to Saguaro Lake. We are not going to waste anytime this summer!
This little 4 year old has been begging to go water skiing. Wednesday afternoon we headed up to the lake and let her ski. Since it was just Jeremy and I, she had to go out in the water by herself this time and get up all on her own. You may remember last year, that Jeremy had to go out in the water and get her started. He then bobbed around the lake while we pulled her around. This year, she had to do it on her own.
Once this little lady got up, we could not get her down. She skied all over Saguaro Lake like she owned the place. Ledger was moaning and groaning because he wanted a turn and she wouldn't drop. Finally I just stopped the boat and pulled her in. This little girl is a water hog!
Next up was Ledger. Like Berkley, he had to get himself up and going all on his own. This boy was a trooper. He skied for a while and then got creamed by a giant wave! He rested in the boat for a few minutes and then wanted to try again. Sadly, he could NOT get up the second time. He tried and tried and tried. He cried and cried and cried but would not give up. I was so proud of him. For whatever reason, we could not get Brody and Case to ski today. They were having to much fun being pulled by Ted on the raft. Maybe next time boys! I hope we can continue to find at least one day a week to go to the lake. The kids love it and so do Jeremy and I!
