Freestyle and Backstroke Swim Meet

Tonight we headed over to Arizona Country Club for the freestyle and backstroke swim meet.  It was so hot when we got there (5:00), but by time we left (8:15), it wasn't too bad! Case swam two great races tonight.  He has the competitive drive to be great at anything he does.

He placed second overall in his backstroke.

Now that Brody is in the 11 year old age group, he has to swim a 50 in all events.  He has worked hard this summer on his flip turns and strokes.  I love that he always looks for us when he starts his swim.

Brody struggled in his 50 freestyle tonight.  I think he placed 6th out of 7 boys.  He takes really long breaths and drags a bit.  He could have cared less though, he is just happy to be participating! Love this boy!

Brody's best stroke is backstroke.  He did amazing tonight.  He placed third overall! Brody also had to swim the 100 freestyle tonight.  Again, he placed 6th out of 7 boys.  

Brody had Jeremy write this on his back tonight.  Fun stuff!

This is the first year that Brody hasn't wanted to hang out with us on the bleechers before and after his races.  He is all about socializing with friends.

I love that this boy is always asking me to take his picture!  Way to go Brody! You rock at backstroke!

Ledger is at the top of his age group and did a fantastic job swimming tonight.

I love that Case was waiting at the end of the pool for Ledger.  What could be better then having your older brother to help you out of the pool after a race?

Ledger's strokes have really improved this summer.

He placed first in freestyle tonight for all of the 6 and under boys.  He also placed 3rd tonight in backstroke for all the 6 and under boys.

This girl is just fun to watch.  She is so little but has good form and actually does the strokes correctly.

She is actually a pretty good backstroker! She is just having the time of her life!

Look at those long straight arms!  AWESOME!

Miss B. placed fourth in both her races tonight.  She was thrilled...in case you couldn't tell!
