Swim Championships

The final night of swim championships was a success.  We missed Brody and Jeremy tonight but team Felstead did great.  Check out my cute Ledge-Man.  This boy is so tan right now!  

Ledger swam freestyle and butterfly tonight.  He took home a first place medal in both.  He was so fast tonight.  Swimming has really clicked for his this year.

Berkley has so many cute swim friends and cousins.  She has had so much fun this summer with them.  The highlight of the night had to of been when she raced in the same heat as Ava, Anaya and Roxy for the 6 and under butterfly.  They all did fantastic.  What a fun night!

Oddly enough she did better last night then she did tonight. Last night she placed second in her freestlye race.  Tonight she placed 7th. She placed second in her butterfly and fourth in the 100 IM she had to redo. 

Berkley swam the 100 IM last night but the electricity went out during her race.  She was so sad when I told her she was going to have to swim it again tonight. It is not easy for a 5 year old to swim 4 laps without stopping.  

Luckily she had Case and Ledger walking up and down the pool as she did her 4 loooooooong laps. This was the highlight of my night watching her big brothers cheer her on as she swam.  Way to go big brothers!  

Case swam butterfly, backstroke and the 100 IM tonight.  He won first place in all of his races.  His underwater pull in backstroke is AMAZING this year.  He has practiced it over and over this summer.  He can stay underwater for almost half the length of the pool.  This kid can butterfly too.  He is an athlete and I love him!

I cannot believe all the cousins won a medal at the championship swim meet tonight.  This is so unusual but so awesome.  This has been an amazing swim season!

We missed Brody tonight but know he is having fun camping with the scouts.  Go team Felstead!

You are looking at the 7 year old boys high point winner!  That's right!  This boy is the fastest in his age group.  He won all his events!  He received a high point winner towel tonight.  Way to go Ledger!  You are a stud!

And here is the 10 year old boys high point winner!  Case dominated all of his races tonight and won them all.  To say this boy was fast this summer would be an understatement.  I am so proud of this kid.  He is a great little swimmer and has improved a ton this summer.  Way to go Case!

Swim Qualifying Night

Tonight we headed over to Moon Valley Country Club for the 8 and under swimming prelims.  Berkley and Ledger were the only ones that had to swim tonight and boy did they do good!

 Berkley swam freestyle, butterfly and the 100 IM.  She swam fast as lightening and qualified in both her strokes.  Sadly though the electricity went out during the 100IM and now she has to re-swim it tomorrow night.  

I had to put this picture into the mix because check out the grandma and adults watching Miss B. swim.  I have no idea who any of them are but I love the way they are all cheering, clapping, and staring at her.  And of course there is Jeremy and I at the end of the pool cheering for our little lady!

 Ledger swam freestyle and butterfly tonight.  He had to swim the 100 IM also. This tan little dude has become quite the swimmer this year. I am so proud of him!

Ledger got second place in his 100 IM tonight.  He did such a great job! 

 Tonight was also the big night for the parent relays.  

Jeremy is such a good sport and swam for the dad's.  

 GO MCC DAD'S! 

 This year we only had 3 dad's volunteer to swim which meant Jeremy had to swim the first and last leg of the race.

 Up next was the coaches relay.  Coach Brian is a great swimmer.  He and Giddeon and Anna did great.  Oh and it was so fun to have Coach Kelsey back swimming with our MCC team.  

A Green Great To Be 8 Party!

After the baptism today, we headed over to my mom's house for dinner and swimming.  Ledger picked the entire menu for dinner to dessert.  It included:  flank steak, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, salad, fruit,garlic bread, Texas sheet cake from Aunt Lisa, sugar cookies, and ice cream sundaes.  The one thing he requested we have the most of was A-1 Sauce,  Sugar made sure there was plenty of A-1! Of course there had to be an "It's Great To Be 8" banner along with green and blue pinwheels with a picture of Ledger from birth to 8.  

 The other thing Ledger requested was that the decorations be GREEN...and a little bit of blue. He also requested that his candy car consist of Skittles, M&M's, Hot Tamales, Gummy Bears, Sour Gummy Worms, Starbursts, Ring Pops and Jolly Ranchers. I am loving the green/blue combo of number 8's.  

 I love the way Ledger's name turned out.  And the number 8's are so cute!

 No baptism swim party would be complete without number 8 sugar cookies, in green and blue of course.

 We totally lucked out tonight because a big storm blew in.  Although there was no rain or dust, the weather cooled down a ton it wasn't too bad for June 27th in Arizona!

And of course the baptism boy himself!  Ledger's baptism party was so much fun mostly because this boy was so grateful and happy.  I love this cute boy!  He is going to do amazing things one day with that smart brain of his.  Happy Baptism day Ledger Felstead!  I love you so much cute boy! Thank you Sugar and Jim for all your help today. I could not have done it without you!

It's Great To Be 8!

 Today this boy was baptized a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.  To say he was excited would be an understatement.  For weeks all he has been saying is, "I can't wait until it's MY turn." He looked so cute in his white baptism jumper today. He literally smiled ALL DAY LONG!

 Jeremy and I are so proud of this boy and his decision.  He is such a smart and cute boy.

Ledger is lucky to have his 2 big brothers and a little sister supporting him. He chose each one of us to participate in the service today.  

 Ledger had lots of family and friends supporting him today. Here are just a few.

 I am so in love with this kid.  We almost shared a birthday 8 years ago which would have been fun, however he was so big and fat that it took about 24 hours to finally get him out.  He was the reason for an emergency C-Section.  I cried when the nurse handed him over to me and said, "Here is the toddler you just birthed." Ledger is the best cuddler.  He loves to snuggle and kiss.  As you can imagine, I love this about him!

 Ledger was baptized today by our home teacher and dear friend, Pete Reis.  The Reis family have lived across the street from us for about 11 years now and they are great friends to Jeremy and I. Thank you Pete for helping us our today.  We are forever grateful!

 GG and G-Pa were able to come today which was fun. Ledger loves his great grandparents.

 Sugar will always be one of Ledgers most favorite people ever.  

 Lucky for Ledger, the Asay family are here from Pennsylvania for a few weeks.  It was fun to have them at the baptism.

 Today there was only Ledger and one other child from another ward getting baptized.  Our ward happened to be in charge of the whole Child Of Record. Because of this, we were able to pick the program.  Ledger chose to have Brody give the Baptism talk in the chapel.  Case gave the opening prayer in the relief society room.  Berkley led the music. Ledger played, Teach Me To Walk In The Light" while all the primary kids sang, I gave the Holy Ghost talk, and Jeremy gave the closing prayer.  It was an amazing program.  Uncle Ryan and Uncle Chris served as witnesses while many family members and church friends were in the circle when Ledger received the gift of the Holy Ghost.  I think Ledger was happy with it all.
