Easter Sunday

 Once upon a time, I used to buy my kiddos cute "Eastery" pajamas so that when they did they egg hunt the next morning they looked all springy and cute.  Now I am just happy that they are not hunting for eggs in their underware! Once upon a time, I had darling Easter baskets for my kids to use on Easter morning.  Now I can't even begin to find them!  And guess what....no one even cares!

Easter Sunday was a fun one but a crazy one!  The kids were up before the sun ready to see what the Easter bunny had brought them.  Being that we have church at 11:00, we got up early too so that there was plenty of time for breakfast and fun.  

 Miss B. looooved finding the eggs that the Easter bunny had hid. She was kinda funny about finding only the ones that she had colored.

 Case was fast as lightening as he found his eggs! Must be those pink socks he's wearing!

 Most of the morning was spent playing jump rope, frisbee, and Bade Blades.  Jeremy spent most the morning trying to open the Doc McStuffins doll and doctor kit that Miss B. got.

 The Easter bunny must know that this little lady wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She got all the same toys as Doc McStuffins. She was soooooo excited!

 Case has been begging for a soccer ball forever.  Thank goodness the Easter bunny pulled through. After a huge breakfast, we got dressed and headed to church.  My amazing primary chorister and I did a combined singing/sharing time lesson during primary.  It was nice.  After church we rushed home so I could make a veggie and fruit platter to take to my mom's house for the Pomeroy Easter party.  

Easter at my Mom's with the Pomeroy side of the family is always fun.  The food is always good and money egg hunt is always a hit.  Thanks grandpa for always making this so fun for us!

Baseball Season Is Here!

Ledger and Case are in full swing with baseball!  Ledger is playing coach pitch for the Storm and Case is playing Rookies for the Bats.  Brody is doing swim team this season and we could't be happier.  Baseball was just getting too competitive which was not fun.  I was shocked and amazed at the parents on Brody's baseball team last year.  The coach was amazing but the parents were not! We are happy to not be doing it this season.  These two boys are having a ball and hopefully they will have a fun season.  Now Let's Play Ball!

Felstead Easter Egg Hunt

 After a long day of baseball opening ceremonies, games and team pictures, we headed over to Aunt Missy's house for our Easter celebration with the Felstead Family. The kids enjoyed the Easter baskets Nanny and Papa gave them along with the egg hunt in the backyard.  These kids love their "BIG" cousins.

 I love that Brody is 10 and still loves things like finding eggs.  He looks so grown up in this picture.

 Nanny and Papa put money and candy in the eggs.  Would you believe that Berkley got the eggs with the most money in them? 

 It was so nice outside that after the egg hunt was over, we all sat in the grass and hung out.

Getting Ready

This little guy will soon be 8 years old.  That means he will be able to be baptized.  On Tuesday, I took him over to the temple to get some pictures taken for his big day.  He was so excited to put on his new suit and tie. He looked so handsome all dressed up.   And then we got to the temple and our photographer Miss Ashley arrived.  It was all down hill from there.  The kid could not hold still.  His smile was super weird and fake.  He wouldn't listen to a thing Miss Ashley asked him to do.  I think someone put ants in those new suit pants of his. It was as if he drank 20 Mtn. Dew's before we got there.  It was disastrous and I left the temple MAD!  I lectured him all the way home as a sped down Brown Road, late for the Arrow Of Light ceremony Brody was supposed to be at.  The poor kid was in trouble for not acting appropriate.  And then.........Miss Ashley called a couple days later to say that Case's pictures were ready.  She warned me that there were not many due to his crazy behavior that day.  Her hope was that I would be able to find at least 1 that would work for his baptism invitation and  program.  I picked up the CD from Ashley and rushed home to look over the pictures.  To my amazement, there were the most adorable and TOTALLY perfect pictures of Case.  Don't get me wrong, there are a few that are so weird and goofy that they can't be used for anything more then a good laugh.  But these pictures she took are SOOOOOOO Case!  They are funny and silly and adorable all in one.  I was thrilled but felt bad that I had chewed him out on that long drive home.  Another lesson learned.  These kids know waaaaaaay more then I do!

Dying Easter Eggs

 Today after school, we met at Sugar's house to dye Easter eggs with the cousins.  This is always a fun event for my kiddos because they get to make a mess at Sugar's house and then eat and swim.  This year was no different.  The kids had a ball!

 Case doesn't really too much about dying eggs.  He would rather be playing a game or competing with someone in some sort of activity.  He rushed through his eggs and was on to something more fun and exciting.

 Brody is super artistic and patient so dying Easter eggs is the perfect activity for him.  His eggs are by far the most colorful and artistic.

 Ledger is the most picky about his eggs.  He wants them to be just so although he is not always sure what that is.

 Miss B. was totally into dying Easter eggs this year.  In fact, she was the last person to finish her 12 eggs.  She was especially loving the wraps that you dip in the boiling water.  

 Sugar has this egg tie-dying machine thingy that the kids just love.

 After the kids finished dying the eggs, they were off to swim in Sugar's pool.  In Case you are wondering, the pool is not heated, however Jim puts a black tarp over the pool the week before we want to use it.  Apparently that warms it up a little.

Our Little Super Star

 This week Miss B. has been the super star of her class.  She has been so excited for this special week.  Today I took the boys out of school and we went to the preschool to celebrate with our super star.  Luckily Sugar and Jim were able to come too.

 Miss B. shared her poster with her friends. Thank goodness we had Brody there to hold it for us.

 I love the way her poster turned out.  Although it wasn't as detailed as the boys, she was thrilled.

Miss B. introduced us to each of her preschool friends by taping them on the head so they could say their name.

The Super Star chose "Fancy Nancy" as her book to read to the class.  As you can see, my mom and I are waaaaay more into their book then anyone else!

 We participated in the Pledge of Allegiance with the class.

And then laughed as we watched the class parade around the room singing, 

"You're A Grand Ol' Flag."

Miss Jody and Miss Lauren are the Best teachers EVER!  I am going to start looking for my kindergarten super star picture of Miss Jody and I so I can compare it to this one.  Love that my baby girl is going to the same teacher that I had way back in kindergarten.  Bet there aren't many of you that can say that!

My boys were so happy they were able to miss a couple hours of school to see their baby sister and to see their favorite teacher again.  After our visit to the school, we headed over to El Charro for bean burros and salsa.

This little lady had the best week of school ever!  We love you cute super star!

Second Grade Track and Field Day

 After the kindergarten track and field day, I ran home, made a grilled cheese sandwich, and then headed back to the school for the second grade track and field day.  There were different events then there was this morning which made it fun for all the kids. I thought this game was funny with a toilet plunger and dodgeball.

 Case has some really nice friends in his class this year.  This is a nice group of boys.

 Some of Cases friends, Quin, Chandler, and JR.  When we were at meet the teacher back in August, I had mentioned to Cases teacher that this was our first year at this school.  Quin and his mom overheard us and Quin walked right over and introduced himself to Case.  They have been friends ever since.  I always remind Case of that day because it was a great example to us both.
