My Back To School Date With Case

My back to school date with Case was just fun!  This boy is so funny!  Our date started off with lunch at Z Tejas.  All the kids got their haircut this morning so we were running late.  Case is so funny when it comes to food.  His eyes are much bigger then his stomach!
After lunch it was off to find the coolest shirts and jeans for this soon to be third grade boy. This boy danced a full dance routine with each shirt he tried on.  He was so funny I couldn't stop laughing.  Needless to say it took forever to get through the 10 shirts he wanted to try on.
See...another dance routine with a new shirt.
This boy is all about fashion.  He knows what he wants to wear.  It has to fit perfect and I never know if what he picks the night before is going to work the day of.  After finding some super cute shirts and jeans, we headed over to the shoe department to look for some cool new shoes.  Although this boy just got new shoes, he felt he needed another pair.  He looks so cute in everything he puts on that its hard to resist! I had a great date with Case.  This kid is fun and kind and thoughtful.  I hope he has the best 3rd grade year!

My Back To School Date WIth Brody

My back to school date with Brody was my favorite this year.  This kid is really growing up and is fun to talk to (when he is not being goofy and sarcastic).  On the drive over to the mall, I had to hide my tears as I listened to Brody talk about school and friends.  He told me that he is happy that I moved him last year to the new school but he really misses his friends at his old school.  As I listened to him talk, I could tell that he has really put some thought into all of this.  It brought back so many emotions that we were all going through last year.  It was a great conversation.  I am so proud of this boy.  He is amazing in so many ways!
I love that this boy is not afraid to be silly and have fun.  He was hilarious in the dressing room as he tried on his back to school clothes.
After some cute shirts and new jeans, we headed over to Z Tejas for lunch.  I hope and pray that this year will be a good one for Brody.  He is a smart and nice boy.  He deserves to have a great 5th grade year.

My Back To School Date With Ledger

On Monday, Ledger and I headed out for a back to school date.  This is one of my favorite things to do with my kids cause it gives me some one on one time with each of them.  This year, Ledger and I talked about how excited he was for first grade. The enthusiasm this boy has for learning is incredible.  He loves to learn new things.  We talked about the things he hopes to learn this year and how we know his teacher is going to love him because he is so smart and kind.  He picked out some super awesome shirts and jeans for his first few days of school.
He was dying to get a new pair of tennis shoes so we headed to the shoe department to check out the new Nike tennis shoes.
And while we were there, Ledger learned to tie his shoes.
After shopping and shoe tying, we went to McDonalds for lunch (his choice, not mine).  The kid was in heaven eating INSIDE the McDonalds and playing on the computers.  That's right....the McDonalds next to us got rid of the play area and installed 4 computers loaded with all kinds of games.  It was the strangest thing I've ever seen.  My date with Ledger was super fun.  This boy is awesome.  His teacher is going to be so lucky to have him in her class!

Party Like A Rock Star

On Friday night, after the golf tournament and water balloon tennis, we helped Presley celebrate her 5th birthday.  She wanted a "Rock Star" party complete with punk rock hair color, super star sunglasses, music and microphones.  We pumped up the music and Par-Tay-ed all night.
The karaoke machine was a huge hit with my boys.  They sang as we played music through Jeremy's
IPhone.  It was hilarious!
Nicole and Cave getting their groove on.
Brody showing off his rad dance moves.
The birthday girl herself dancing with Sugar.
Ella showing off her ballet moves.
Chase and Ryan singing a duet.  Awwwwww....so cute boys!
 Ledger pounding the guitar pinata.
Mmmmmmmm...CANDY!
The birthday girl opening her presents.  Check out all the punk rock hair.
Even I rocked out with my favorite kids!  Case was dyyyyyying every time I tried to dance and sing with him. After we sang, danced, and ate cake and ice cream, we lit sparklers and fire works.

Happy 5th Birthday Presley!  So happy we could celebrate with you in the mountains!

Last Day Of Tennis

The last day of tennis was so fun.  It started POURING rain right after the golf tournament which meant tennis could not happen on the court.  Instead, Coach Gerard cleared all the tables and chairs off the porch at the rec hall and the kids played tennis with water balloons.  They practiced forehands, backhands and serves all while using water balloons instead of tennis balls.
You can imagine how much fun this was for the kids.  Check out Case's awesome forehand.
Brody showing off his water balloon serve.
This was by far the best tennis week.  Coach Gerard was so awesome.  He was so patient with the kids and wanted them to learn.  He was awesome! We will miss him next year.

1, 3, 6, 9

On Friday, all 4 kiddos participated in the White Mountain golf tournament.

The Wood/Rang golf gang.
Miss B. and Katlyn were all decked out today with ribbons in their hair and bubblegum necklaces.  They were the cutest golfers on the course!
Since there were four kids golfing and only two parents, my brother H.C. golfed with Case today. Case played 6 holes today.
Getting ready to play.
I took Miss B. to play her 1 hole.
Miss B. played hole 17 today.  It had to be the funniest thing I have ever seen.  She had her golf glove and purple golf ball.  Let's not forget those cute pink golf clubs.  She was all ready!
There were a few "whiffs" today but all in all, this little 3 year old did fantastic!
The best part was, she had a ball!
Miss B. played with these 2 girls, Julia and Ella.  As you can see they are a few years older then her.
So proud of this girl.
Miss B. shot a 43 today.  Yep, it took her 43 swings to get the ball in the hole.  As you can see, she was  33 strokes away from winning.  HAHA!
After Miss B. played her one hole, we headed over to Ledger who was playing 3 holes.  Jeremy was able to go with him today which was fun for Ledger.  Ledger did great today and was thrilled with his game.
He has a pretty good little swing.
Ledger shot a 27 today which was pretty dang good!
After Ledger finished his 3 holes, we all headed over to watch Brody who signed up to play 9 holes. Sugar went with Brody today to help him keep score and encourage him. Unfortunately,  Brody was having a hard day.  He shot a 21 on his first hole and lost his favorite green ball which cost him 2 strokes.  He was in tears by time I caught up to him.
There were many shots that looked like this one.  It was not a good day of golf for this cute kid. Maybe we could blame it on his clubs that are waaaay too small?
Brody had to "walk" the entire nine holes of golf while carrying his own clubs.  As you can see from his face, it was not his day.
These two boys were so cute and nice.  Jace who is in the white shirt is the boy Case has been hanging around with all week and the boy in the middle was just a nice boy.  They were both AMAZING golfers!
Jeremy was able to help Brody as much as possible, but he was so upset and frustrated with himself, that it affected his whole game.
These two boys are a lot alike.
All smiles after it was over.  Phewwwww!
Case did great today.  I wasn't able to watch him at all because by time I finished with the other 3 kids, he was done.  Case played 6 holes today.  Luckily H was with him and they worked well together.  On the first hole, hole 4,  Case chipped the ball in for par. He was off to a great start and finished just as great!
This kid is all business when it comes to competing.
Case is a great little golfer.
Jim was able to get this picture of Case and his group.  I don't know the boy in the blue shirt, but that's Madden in the yellow shirt, then Zack Morin and Case.
Case shot a 36 today.  Unbelievable!
These two girls hung out with me as we drove from hole to hole today.
Brody was the last one to finish today since he played the most holes.  Just as he finished his last putt, a HUGE storm came in and we all ran for the porch to eat lunch.  As we ate lunch it POURED rain with the most incredible thunder and lightening. As we ate, they gave out awards to the top 3 players.
Ledger tied for 3rd place for the 3 hole boys.
Case tied for second place today for the boys 6 holes.
Brody had a terrible game today.  His score wasn't posted yet when I took the other pictures but I think he scored a 113 or something. He did however win the "Sportsmanship" award for all the boys in the golf clinic.  He was pretty happy about that.  Jeremy and I were a little surprised about Brody winning this award because there were some tough moments for Brody today on the course.  I guess he must have been a good sport during each of his practices this week.
Here is Ledger with the other 3 hole boy winners.
Case with the other 6 hole boy winners.  In case your wondering, there are no age requirements for the golf tournament.  You can have a 16 year old sign up for 3 holes or a 4 year old sign up for 6 holes.  It's really based on what you think you can play.  As you can see from this picture and the previous picture, my boys are usually the youngest of the group.
All of the Wood/Rang Gang!
