It's official!  Brody lost his first tooth today! See the crooked one on the bottom?  It's ready to come out too!

Look what happened at school today?  Brody lost his first tooth.  You probably can't tell where it came out because his other bottom middle tooth is hanging by a thread too!  I've been trying to pull it all night but no luck from the terribly afraid.  Apparently during P.E. the tooth just popped out.  His teacher wrapped it in a band-aid and put it in a tooth necklace.  He was all smiles when I picked him up today. He can hardly wait to see what the tooth fairy brings him tonight.  He's hoping for candy and goodies but no money...weird huh!  Stay tuned for more missing teeth.

By the way...Did any of you other Mom's out there cry when your little one lost his first tooth? Dumb huh?  It made me a little sad (stop laughing Ash, you know I cried when his umbilical cord fell out a week after birth!) I have a little guy loosing teeth and one growing teeth, crazy huh!

It's Valentine's Day!  Here are just a few things that I Love:

I love that I have 3 boys and the comments that people make when they see me with them!  

I love that I have a husband who can't keep his hands off me and goes out of his way to make holidays and birthday's special for me.

I love that my Mom is my best friend.

I love that I get to stay home with my boys even though I miss being a teacher. 

I love the evenings when we are all home together and everyone is safe.

I love that kindergarten is almost over even though I hear 1st grade is scary.

I love that I get to be in primary with Brody and Case each week.

I love El Charro, Sonic drinks and Mattas tacos.

I love that I am learning how to make bread and rolls and the challenges that come with this.

I love that I make it out of bed each morning for 5 a.m workouts.

I love the security of my home.  I feel safe and happy here!

I love that my Mom is taking the boys tonight for a sleep over even though we have to be to church at 8:00.

I love that it is a three day weekend and that we don't have any plans!  

I love my family more then anything in the world!

Hope your day is filled with love, laughter and happiness, yummies, kisses, hugs and love!   There will be a lot of this going on around here!  

The Lion King

This afternoon Jeremy and I took Brody and Case to Gammage Auditorium to see The Lion King.  It was a wonderful performance.  It's amazing how the performers make the animals move.  They look so real. The singing was awesome and the special effects were even better.   The boys were mesmerized by the whole thing.  If you haven't been to see it, you should go.  It's something fun and different to do with the kids.  Sorry I don't have any pictures of the boys.  I got chewed out big time by the woman showing us to our seats.  She threatened to take my camera and said technically that is what she is supposed to do but will let me go this time.  I looked around when we finally got to our seats and every Mom around me was snapping shots of their little ones at the play.  Oh well, whatta ya do? 

"Tinky"

O.k. this is so weird.  Ledger is 19 months old now and for the past month, every time he has a stinky diaper, he runs in his room, gets a clean diaper, brings it to me and says, "tinky!" I change him and we're done.  If that's not weird enough, every time Ledger gets mad or frustrated, he runs in his room, slams the door, cries and then comes out like no big deal. Basically he gives himself a time out. Something else, Ledger is obsessed with throwing away trash. He walks around the house and finds scraps of paper, fruit snack wrappers, juice boxes, whatever, and throws them away.  He loves throwing stuff away!  (Is this how my wedding ring ended up in the garbage?) Is there something about these third children that makes them a little more independent?  Or is that Mom is just too busy to pay attention to him so he has to take matters into his own hands?  What ever the case, it's super funny and keeps us all laughing around here!  

It's Saturday...

and around here, that means breakfast at Eggs and Eyes (as the boys call it) with Dad!  They look forward to Saturdays all week long.  Mostly because there is no school, but also cause they get to have breakfast with Dad and then spend the rest of the day with him.  They love driving to Eggs and Eyes in the Ranger, watching the waitresses pick up on what they think is a single Dad, and coming home to play!  I love that I get 45 minutes of quiet to Blog, check my email and get in the shower!

So many of you have asked about Brody's 6th Birthday party so I decided to post more pictures and details from the party.  

When the kids arrived at the party, they headed out back to play on the snake covered swing set.  After about 20-30 minutes Jeremy blared the Indiana Jones theme song throughout our backyard.  Indiana Jones (aka my trainer Eddie) came walking out yelling to the kids that there was a lost treasure to be found and he needed their help.  They were pumped and all came running.  I started handing out satchel bags (handmade by Sugar) and maps of the neighborhood (handmade by Jeremy).  Indiana grabbed Brody and explained how the mission would work.  Basically, we chose 5 houses in the neighborhood and gave them a name.  Our house was known as the Dig Site and the first clue was hidden in a sand pit Jeremy build in our yard.  The clue directed the kids to look on their maps and head over to the "Snake Pit" (Anthony and Roxy's house).  Indy lead them very carefully to the Snake Pit. At the snake pit, (yes there were snakes there) the next clue told them they would need a compass to find their way.  They were to each look for a compass, place it in their satchel, and find Indy for the next clue.  After all the kids found their compass, Indy read the next clue which lead them to "Crocodile Creek" (Craig Stewart's house).  The kids looked at their map, realized it was across the street and started running with Indy.  At Crocodile creek they were instructed to find a knife, place it in their satchel and find Indy for the next clue.  This continued to Pankot Palace Banquet (Crosby's), Mummy Gallery (Bishop's) and The Airport Hangar (Reis') At the airport hangar I placed a large box with individually wrapped bags of candy for each of the kids.  So when the party was finished the kids got to take home their satchel bag, map, a compass, knife, magnafying glass, flashlight and huge bag of candy.  It was awesome!  After the adventure around the neighborhood, we headed out back for Mattas.  It was so yummy and tasted great for dinner. My friend Cyndi made cupcakes for dessert.  If you haven't had her cupcakes...you're missing out.  They are so dang good I could eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner!  It was a "no gifts" party so we didn't have to do all that part which was nice.  The party was over by 8:00 which was GREAT!  It was a super fun party!  For decorations, we had tiki torches all over our front and backyard.  No one's hair caught on fire which was SUPER! On the tables I had little metal buckets of sand with little tiki torches in them.  I also found light up crystal skulls for each table.  It was cute!  I thought the party turned out  Awesome and Brody hasn't stopped talking about it!  Thanks to all who helped me make it so fun!
