Sledding At The Cabin

Today I attempted to take the three boys snow skiing at Sunrise. After waiting in lines for 2 hours and watching a Dad throw a helmet at his son while screaming and cursing him out, we headed back to the cabin. We were all so sad that we didn't get to ski, but it was so crowded up there, it was probably best. Since we didn't get to ski, the boys decided that sledding would make up for it all. Sledding at the cabin is one of our favorite things to do. The snow is melting fast here which makes for great sledding snow. The kids headed over to the golf course for some laughter and fun today.
Getting up the hill is the hardest part.
Case
Case and Brody
Ledger is the perfect height and weight for the new sleds.
CRASH!!
It doesn't matter how big or small the hill is, Brody is having fun.

Ledger!
Love these crashing pictures.

Christmas is over!

We are exhausted around here. The kids and I headed up to the cabin for some fun and relaxation. We are enjoying the snow and warm cabin together. Wish it could last forever!
There is lots of movie watching around here.
Brody learned to play Chess yesterday and is totally addicted. I tried to play with him and didn't have a clue. Chess requires waaaay toooo much thinking and my brain just can't handle it right now.

He Came!! He Came!!

The big guy showed up at our house last night. I have to say I was a little surprised. It has been a year of growing and learning and finding independence. It has not necessarily been our best year for behavior. But I'm not giving up and we are going to work extra hard this year to improve. We did have a fun and relaxing day playing with the things Santa brought and are so happy we survived the big day.
Christmas stockings have always been my favorite part of Christmas morning. I love all the little goodies and the orange in the toe of the stocking.
Santa brought Miss B. a vanity. It is so cute!
On Christmas morning we make our kids come in our room and wait for us to get up. This year, Brody and Case were the first to wake up at 7:15. They came and woke us up and said they would be playing in the closet until 8:15. Ledger came stumbling into our room at about 8:00. After Jer and I finally rolled out of bed, we went out to the family room to turn the tree lights and garland on. We went and got Miss B. out of her crib and brought her in our room to join the boys. The kids were bursting with excitement and could hardly wait to see what Santa brought them.
This year the boys got Legos, Nerf Dart Guns, and Spy Gear.
Brody is a Lego maniac. He was in Heaven Christmas morning.
Ledger is just in love with every gift. This boy is always excited about the smallest of things.
Jeremy and Miss B. had fun playing with all the goodies Santa left in the vanity.
The highlight of the morning were the electric scooters.
Ledger had a hard time balancing the scooter by himself so Jeremy had to help him.
Case jumped right on and did fancy tricks up and down the street.
Brody loved his new scooter. He was racing the other boys down the street all morning.
Miss B. even got in on the action.
Another highlight of the morning were the roller blades. Ledger especially liked the roller skates Santa brought.
All Miss B. wanted for Christmas was a baby and a candy cane. Lucky for her she got both. She spent most of Christmas Day blow drying the baby's hair.
Later in the morning, Cave and Presley came over to open gifts with Sugar. Cave mostly ate all the paper scraps off the ground.
Presley got Pete the Parrot who repeats everything you say.

By time the day was over, we were exhausted. I spent the afternoon packing for the cabin and trying to clean up. I had to laugh at Brody tonight. He was in tears as we went to bed cause he didn't get to do anything fun today. When I started laughing at him and asked what he wanted to do, he said that all he wanted to do was play. Hmmmm...I think someone was a little delirious! Hope you all had a great Christmas Sunday!

Merry Christmas!

Although Christmas card photo shoots are one of my least favorite things, I am thrilled with the way our card turned out this year. Merry Christmas to you and your family from our CRAZY family!

Christmas Eve Traditions

Christmas Eve was as exciting as usual. We headed over to Nanny and Papa's for dinner, gifts and wrestling with cousins! Miss B. was thrilled with everything she got from Nanny and Papa. (as if you couldn't tell)
She loved her soft new red robe and slippers.
And really loved her new dollhouse.
Ledger loved his warm warm pj's. I have no idea if the other 2 boys loved their gifts cause they ripped through them and took off with the cousins.
Kenzi and Connor are so cute and fun with the boys and Miss B. My kiddos love these two.
After Nanny and Papa's we came home, put on our pj's and went for a ride in the Ranger to look at Christmas lights. Case, Miss B. and Brody bundled up in the back of the Ranger.
In case you've never been to our neighborhood at Christmas time, it is AMAZING!
Our neighbors go all out!
After our Ranger ride, we came home and got our cookies and milk ready for Santa.
Brody and Case wrote notes to Santa and hung them on the fireplace. Case's note is in pink and reads, "Santa's cookies. Keep out of trouble and Santa careful on the cookies thank you."

Cookies For Santa

Making cookies for Santa is another tradition we enjoy each year. It is crazy and hectic but so much fun. We are pretty sure Santa will love the cookie masterpieces we made.

Emails from Santa

Last night I received these emails from Santa.

A Party With The Big Cousins

Wednesday night we were able to attend the Felstead Family Christmas party. We love this side of our family and wish we got together with them more. My kiddos especially love playing with all the "big" cousins. They learn all kinds of new things when they are around! Thanks to Missy and Troy for hosting!
Club Penguin with cousin Connor was a highlight of the night!
So was the Kinect.
Cousin Josh, Kris, Kristen and Abbie. Miss B. was loving having Abbie around. I wish they lived closer so we could get them together more.
