PINK!

This post was supposed to be posted on September 17th but since my computer got stolen when our house got broken into, I'm just getting around to it.
Today this little lady celebrated her 2nd birthday. I truly can't believe my baby is two. Time is going waaaay too fast. This year we decided to keep things simple. We chose to have a family swim party at my Mom's house with pizza and subs. This morning we went to football games for the boys and then headed over to Sugar's to finish up the decorations. I put the Birthday girl down for a nap so she wouldn't be exhausted and sent Jeremy for the balloons and subs. I finished up with some fruit cutting and last minute decorations. About 15 minutes before the party was to start, Jeremy woke Miss B. up to get her ready. He brought her out to me and holy cow...the fun began. She took one look around at her decorations and got so excited that I was mad at myself that I didn't have my video camera rolling. She started screaming, "PINK!" "PINK!" and pointing to all the balloons and tissue paper balls. She literally squealed with joy. I've never seen a 2 year old get so excited about "PINK!" She totally knew this party was for her and that all that hot pink was hers. The birthday girl loved her PINK party. She swam, ate, and enjoyed every minute of being the star of the show. She got lots of babies from her cousins and a darling outfit and backpack from Sugar.

Here is a little about the birthday girl:
I think she may be color blind. Everything right now is, "blue"
She looooves to tease.
Don't even try to get in the shower while she is around. She will take it all off and get in with you.
Speaking of taking it all off, Miss B. loves to take off and put on her clothes.
She still takes a binky for naps and bed time. It's more for my sanity then hers.
Her favorite meal is breakfast.
She can climb anything! (but hasn't tried to climb out of her bed)
She loves to read.
She can sing too.
She is really happy most all the time.
She dances anytime music is playing.
She climbs onto the countertop and helps me make dinner each day.
She is a loud talker.
Every night when Jeremy walks through the door she says, "Hiiii Daaady" in a flirty but cute way.
She has learned to work her Daddy.
She constantly asks me all day, "Where the guys?"

Here is the birthday girl touching and admiring all her "PINK!"
That would be my Ledger-Man flying across the pool.
And that would be the birthday girl hanging from the basketball net.
Swimming with Dad is so much fun!
You should have seen this girl trying to blow out her candles after we sang to her. She kept doing these little puffs. Finally we had to have one of the kids help her blow them out.
Miss B. loves and adores our cute neighbor Mallorie. Thanks for coming to the party MalMal!
Eating ice cream in the warm jacuzzi is always fun.
Showing off the two crisp , one dollar bills she got from G-Pa.
It was all about baby dolls this year. She got dolls that crawl, dolls that talk, and dolls that are just plain cute and soft. Oh the excitement from this little mama!

This next part of my post is strictly for our out of town family and friends who couldn't be at the party. They have been wanting to see pictures of the party so here goes...
I am a huge invitation person. I think the invitation sets the tone for a party. I almost always choose my party colors based off the invitation. I thought these were simple but cute.
"We All Scream For Ice Cream!"
One of the highlights of the party was the ice cream bar.
There were a ton of toppings to choose from.
The kids were in heaven...as were some of the adults!
I am a huge fan of balloons for birthday's. The hot pink and lime green balloons in the back of the table are 36". They were so huge but so perfect! I think the hot pink and lime green polka dot balloons are adorable too. As you can see, I had a fun time on the Cricut Machine. I am loving projects that are quick and easy.
Jeremy made this cute poster for the birthday girl.
This was at the entry of my Mom's house. What a cute way to start a party!

So Deprived

Poor Miss B. I think she may be deprived of all things important in life. No really, because she is the fourth child, she misses out on a lot. Take for example bath time last week. The boys were at flag football practice and Miss B. and I were home hiding from the extreme heat. It was getting late and time for her to take a bath. For some reason she asked to take a bath in my big bathtub. On a normal night, I would have thrown her in the shower with Jeremy and the boys and then off to bed she would go. That night I filled the tub with warm water and some bubbles. You would have thought we were at Disneyland. The excitement in her eyes was beyond what I can describe. She jumped in the bubbles, threw the bubbles, danced in the bubbles, swam in the bubbles (backstroke and breaststroke) and ate the bubbles. She was in heaven.

Dear Miss B.,

I am so sorry our life is so crazy that I have never given you a bubble bath. I'm sorry that you spend hours and hours in the car going from one activity to the next. I love you so much and will try harder to give you more bubble baths.

Love,

The Mom who loves how you smell after you take bubble baths!

A Spuhler Sprout!

Today this little lady started her first ever Playschool with Miss Kristen. I'm not sure what she was more happy about...starting school or her new pink backpack. I seriously was dyyyyiiing when she put it on and started walking to her class. Jeremy met me at the school to see where his baby girl would be going two days a week and boy did that make Miss B. happy. She is a daddy's girl! She of course loved it and had no problem leaving me to play with her new friends and the toys. Although it will be super crazy for me with driving, I am excited that she will have a little something to do for a couple hours each week. Hooray for playschool!
Thank Goodness Dad was there to get the backpack situated!

O.k....I'm all ready to start!
Off to Playschool! Hooray!
I love my new backpack that Sugar got me for my birthday. I didn't take it off the whole time I was at Playschool. I have been wearing it around the house too. Isn't it cute!?!?

Pre-K

To say that Ledger was excited to start school this year would be an understatement. All this boy can talk about is starting Pre-K. If you ask him if he's in Preschool yet, he will politely tell you, "No, I'm in Pre-K." Well, today was the big day. All the way to school, Ledger was just giddy with excitement. He kept saying, "Mom, I can't remember what Miss Jody's school looks like." When we pulled up to the school, Ledger jumped out, walked in , hung up his backpack and said good-bye. It was great. When I picked him up, he was a little disappointed that some of his friends from last year weren't there, but he is still excited to go back. Can't believe this boy will possibly be going to Kindergarten next year. I say possibly because he has a summer birthday and I haven't quite decided if i will send him or keep him home another year. As for this year, I am excited to see him learn and grow and get super excited to go to Pre-K.
Ledger loooooves his new green backpack. Green is his favorite color this year.

Miss B. will miss Ledger while he is gone at school two days a week. These two kiddos are the best of friends.

All ready for school.

Hooray for Pre-K!

p.s. If your the punk who broke into my house while I was dropping off my cute 4 year old to his first day of Pre-K...SHAME ON YOU! You will be sorry you stole my things because one day it will come back to haunt you! SHAME ON YOU!!

Little Fishies

Ledger and Miss B. finished swim lessons with Miss Carolyn last week and what a summer it has been! To say we had fun sweating each day from noon to 1:00 would be an understatement. Both kids had great friends in their classes and did great with their strokes. Ledger improved tons and Miss B. had us all scared with her swimming across the pool. We love Miss Carolyn and are so grateful to her for her love and patience.
One of the highlights of swim lessons is getting the rings. Ledger could stay under water long enough to collect all 15 rings. Oh did I mention that Ledger is a master of touching the deep end of the pool?
Ledger and Harvey Carling became good friends in this last swim session. Nothing brought more joy to my heart then hearing Ledger say Harvey's name. I always have wondered what my Dad's name would sound like coming from one of my kiddos and now I know! Pure joy!
Look at you jumping off the board.
Who knew babies under 2 years old could swim and jump so good?
Oh Miss B. Although it was a rough start for you this summer, you ended up being a little fish. You love swimming across Miss Carolyn's pool from the diving board to the other end. I am amazed that you actually move both arms one at a time like a real freestyler!

Hands up...head down... Ready to dive!
There's my big diver!
Not only does this girl have no fear of the water, but she can hold her breath FOREVER!
She is my slippery little fish!

Cards

Last night while I went to curriculum night at the school, Jeremy and H took Brody, Case, Ledger and Presley to the first Cardnials game of the season. I can't believe we let them go considering it was a school night and the game didn't start until 7:00. A long time ago when I was a teacher, I would have thought that doing something like this was bad parenting. Why would you let your kids be out so late on a school night? Shame, Shame! Now I am much wiser and realize that making fun memories is just as important as school. Also, one night of staying up late on a school night isn't gonna hurt anyone. So there you have it!!
Brody was so happy to stay up until 10:45 last night. For some reason he thinks it's super fun to stay up late, even though he can't make it past 8:30 most nights.
When I asked Case about the game last night he said, "Mom, I wish I would have had more fun. Since the score was like 27 to 0, it wasn't that exciting." This kid is all about the competition. At least the fries were good.
Apparently, Ledger ate everything in sight. This included 2 hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and drinks galore! We'll see how his tummy does today.
