Good Grades =......

KRISPY KREME DOUGHNUTS!!!

Did you know that Krispy Kreme will give you an original glazed doughnut for every "A" you earn on your report card? Friday after school I took these cuties to the bookstore for some new books and then to Krispy Kreme to cash in on all their hard work. We ended up with 19 doughnuts in all. These boys did so great on their first grading period report cards. I was a little nervous being that we are at a new school with a "different" curriculum. I was so happy for these boys when I saw how hard they had worked. Keep up the good work Krispy Kreme lovers!!

Learning So Much The First Week Of School

12-5-08

On the way home from El Charro tonight Brody tells us:

B: "Mom, did you know that if you stick your middle finger in the air it's like saying a bad word?"

M: "What?" "Who told you that?"

B: "One of the boys in my new class said if you stick your middle finger in the air it's the same as saying a bad word." "What bad word does it mean mom?"

M: "It's a word that we don't ever say in our house and if I ever hear you say it, I'll stick 5 bars of soap in your mouth and make you suck on them all night."

B:"I think I know what word it is mom." It's (spelling it out) h-a-t-e.

M: (laughing with Jeremy in the front seat) It's way worse then that Brody!

B: "Oh I know mom, it's s-u-c -s or s-u-k-s (trying to spell sucks). Mom did you know people at my school say bad words all the time!"

M: "What??" (thinking to myself, what have I done by moving him to this new school?)

B: Yeah mom, they say hate, stupid, butt and sucks.

M: (still trying not to laugh) So do you tell them not to say that in front of you? You can tell them that you don't like them talking like that in front of you!

B: "No way Mom!! They'll punch me in the face!"

M: (Thinking to myself) Oh the joys of public school!! Can't wait to hear what he learns next week!
