Individual Breaststroke and Butterfly Relay

Tonight we had our third swim meet at Paradise Valley Country Club.  Each of the boys swam in a butterfly relay and each did an individual breaststroke.
Case, won a 1st place medal in his individual breaststroke for the 7 and 8 year old boys. He also competed in the 50 freestyle which he ended up with a 5th place medal.  This boy is very competitive  and good at swimming.
Brody had a rough night of swimming.  He was the only boys who showed up in his heat which meant he swam the race by himself.  I kinda thought he would be happy with this...a guaranteed first place ribbon.  He got out of the pool and was mad that he didn't get to race anyone.
Brody is a good little swimmer but likes the social aspect of the sport more then anything.
Ledger had a great night of swimming.  His relay placed third and in his individual swim, he placed second.  Great job Ledger!
What is with this dive?  Have we forgotten what we learned in all those years of swim lessons with Miss Carolyn?
I would say breaststroke is the easiest stroke for a beginning swimmer like Ledger.  It's a good thing that Club swim doesn't DQ kids for doing the stroke incorrectly.
After his swim, Ledger hung out by Coach Katie and cheered on the other swimmers.
Jeremy was tattooing every kid on the team.  Sorry parents!
GO MCC DOLPHINS!
