Red Fred

This is our Elf On The Shelf, Red Fred. He is supposed to be watching the kiddos around here and then flying back to the North Pole each night to report to Santa. I think some of the kids around here have forgotten that Santa is on his way (I 1 week). The oldest child is throwing temper tantrums like a two year old...all day every day. Child 2 is acting inappropriate and not talking kindly to the others in the house. Boy 3 is crying whenever things don't go his way (I don't think he's feeling 100%). And child 4 is into EVERYTHING! She is making it so a Mom can't accomplish one thing! I hope Red Fred is noticing something good going on around here cause right now it's looking like it's gonna be a very quiet Christmas morning!
Dear Kids,
Please start behaving better. I worry that Santa will fly right past our house on Christmas Eve because Red Fred has reported on all your naughtiness! Be kind, helpful, compassionate and happy. I know you are all capable of doing this. You are good kids. Now let's show Santa how awesome we really are! We can make it thorough December...I know it!
Love ,
The Mom who is worried about your Christmas morning!

Back off Red Fred...those are my peppermint kisses!

Red Fred...do you even know how long it takes to decorate the Christmas tree?

Very brave fishing in the BOY toilet!

Under ware hanging from the fireplace was TOTAL excitement!

Santa Party 2011

On Saturday, we attended John and Sheena's Santa Cookie Party. My kids love doing this mostly because they get to eat cookies and candy starting at 10:00 in the morning. As always, it was a fun party and we are so happy we get invited back each year.

Cousins are the best!
Waiting for Santa.

Not sure if she is ready to see Santa. She looks cute though!
Case and Sugar.

Miss B. is all about the candy!

Katy and Miss B.

Presley and Kunkle.

This year for Christmas, Brody asked Santa for an art kit. Interesting since that was the first time he mentioned it to us. Brody...Santa brought you an art kit last year...REMEMBER?

Case just giggled while on Santa's lap. When Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas he said, "I don't know." I guess that means nothing for Case then!

Ledger asked for a Nintendo 3DS. Not sure that's what Santa wants to give you Ledger Man!

Miss B. asked Santa for a baby. A PRETEND baby Santa!

Merry Christmas from us!

We love you Santa!

Playschool Christmas Program

Miss B., Miss B., Miss B.
You continue to crack me up with your funny personality. Last week Dad, Sugar, Jim and I attended your first ever performance at Miss Kristen's Playschool. To say it was comical would be an understatement. In all fairness, you are the youngest in the class. But Miss Kristen has said, "She can sure hold her own." We literally laughed the entire time you were up there. Here is why...

When we arrived you were sitting so cute and nice on your carpet square.

Mostly you sucked on your hand and looked around. I think you didn't like that paper hat....or you were hungry.

You stuck your tongue out at us and blew spit all over the place.

You KINDA sang "Jingle Bells"

Then you discovered that the carpet square you were standing on can move and
slide with you on it.

Then you discovered these cute heart pockets on the back of your jeans. You told everyone there, "Look, I have pockets."

You didn't think we could all see them well enough from the previous pose so you turned all the way around to show off those pockets. They are really cute!

You love Miss Kristen and talk about her often. She is so sweet and kind.

You love Sugar the most right now.

And just like a girl..you were first in the dessert line filling your plate with all kinds of goodies. This was the highlight of the day for you.

We loved the puzzle shaped picture frame you made us with the cute picture of you in it.

39
Tonight I took Jeremy out to celebrate his 39th birthday. That's right folks, next year at this time we will be celebrating the big 4-0. About a month ago, Jeremy threw his back out so I knew what ever we did tonight needed to be low key. We started off with dinner at Ocean Club in Scottsdale. We have been here before and love it. After Ocean Club, we drove down the street to the IPic Theatres. If you have never been here before I would highly recommend it. Yes, it's a movie theatre but unlike any you have been to...I promise! To start, you can reserve your personal seats online. You heard it right folks, you get online, look at a seating chart and pick which seats you want. Oh did I mention that these seats fully recline and come with a pillow and blanket. On top of it, they are huge and soft. If that's not cool enough, there are two 5 star restaurants in the theatre and you have your own personal waiter who will bring you anything on the menu. We of course had just come from dinner so we were not wanting to eat, but we did take advantage of the popcorn and candy menu. We ordered Buncha Crunch, Star bursts, and Reese's Pieces which arrived in clear martini glasses. It was awesome! We saw the movie New Year's Day which was good, but it wouldn't have mattered, the atmosphere and excitement of relaxing in a Lazy Boy type chair while being waited on was enough for us. We had so much fun tonight which sounds funny since we didn't do anything spectacular. Go try the IPic Theatres. It is awesome! I think the birthday boy enjoyed the relaxing night too. Next year though...it's PARTY TIME!
