"Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree!"

Ledger the astronaut/cowboy thought decorating his tree was fun.
He loved all the pretty ornaments.
As expected, Brody was totally into decorating his tree.  He loved looking at all the ornaments he's made in the past.  His tree looks awesome.

Don't judge me but I'm that Mom who doesn't let her kids decorate the Christmas tree.  I feel terrible about this but I just can't help it.  You see, every Christmas we host parties...quite a few parties.  This year, we are the hosts to 3 parties at our house.  That may not seem like a lot, but YOU try keeping your house perfectly picked up for 3 parties.  I promise, it's not easy!!  Because of this, I have a need to have a Christmas tree that is, well...not kid decorated.  Don't get me wrong.  I love, love, love the cute ornaments my kids make me every year in school.  I treasure them as a matter of fact.  I just don't hang them on MY tree for all our guests to see.  Is that bad? It is huh!! Well to solve this issue, Jeremy and I bought each of the boys their OWN Christmas tree to decorate.  We help them each string lights on their trees and then let them decorate it how ever they want.  We help them and do it together, as a family (does that help?).  We love pulling out the old ornaments and especially the ones they have made. We let them sleep with their lights on at night which is festive and pretty (right?) I'm feeling super guilty as I write this...can you tell?! Anyhow...their trees look wonderful (as does mine!) and we had a great time decorating all the trees today.  Now if I could only find my snowmen and trees to decorate my nitch!

p.s.  Not sure why I don't have a picture of the Case Man but I will get one tomorrow and post it later!

Wedding Kiss

The other night as I was tucking Brody and Case in for the night.  I was kissing and tickling Case like I always do when Brody says to me, "Give him a wedding kiss Mom!!" I stopped goofing off with Case and asked, "A wedding kiss?  What is that Brody?"  With that little Brody smirk, he laughs and says, "You know mom, a wedding kiss!"  Where did he learn that there is a difference between the kissing we do at night before bed and a wedding kiss?  This kid is growing up way too fast and learning way too much in first grade!
 A wedding kiss...what on earth?
Oh by the way Brody, this is what happens to you after a wedding kiss...Four crazy kids and a CRAZY MOM AND DAD!!

It's not easy...

being this cute!!

O.k.  So I realize how obnoxious the flowers are that I put in my daughters hair.  I get that they are big and over sized and scream, "My Mom thinks I'm the cutest thing on earth!!" But I can't help it.  I'm loving having a baby girl!  So the other day I ran into Kohls (my first time there by the way) to get a black shirt.  As I was waiting patiently in line to check out, the very old lady behind me says, "What in God's name do you have on that child's head?  "Please tell me that is part of the car seat!"  Taken back by her comment, I looked at Berkley wondering what the heck she was even talking about.  When I realized she was shocked by the size and fullness of her second head, oh I mean flower, I calmly looked back at her and replied, "Look lady.  I have three boys and now her.  I've waited a long time for this.  She always looks like this and I love it!"  Her response was something to the effect of, "Well she IS cute."  My point is, this little girlie is beyond loved and adored.  She is fun to dress, kiss, snuggle with, and take places.  I don't care how obnoxious her hair accessories are.  Need I remind all of you how long I have waited for her? And yes, she even wears them while she is at home...sleeping in her swing!!  By the way...Miss B. in 11 weeks old today.  Can't believe it!!

Mom's big helper!

Ledger loves to help.  So does Case.  Brody...not so much.  Yesterday when I got home from the grocery store, I asked Ledger to put the juice boxes in the fridge for me.  I wasn't paying much attention to what he was doing cause I was putting all the other stuff away.  When he was finished he said, "Ledger done!" This is what he did:

Instead of lining the boxes horizontally, he stacked them vertically.  It was so weird, but funny!  Maybe he is our next architect/builder.  Who knows.  This 2 1/2 year old was so proud of himself.  He is a goofball!
Is is just me or does Ledger have a jackrabbit/ bunny kinda smile?  It's like only his 2 long front teeth show!! With that scrunched up nose, he reminds me of a bunny!!

Snow Much Fun!!

Sunday morning we woke up to a blanket of snow covering the cabin.  While we were cleaning up the cabin and getting ready to come home, this is what the boys were doing:

Case made a snow angel,

Hunter, Brody and Ledger threw snowballs, and...

Ledger can finally reach the pedals on the jeep and quads.  One problem though...he hasn't figured out how to steer.  After crusin across the golf course, Jim turned the steering wheel so he would jst go in circles.  That was even more fun because now he could see his tire tracks in the snow!! We didn't really want to go home after seeing the snow!  Brody cried when Jim told him he had to take down the signs on the fort he and the other kiddos had made under the stair case.  We hate leaving the cabin.  It's so fun and relaxing.
We are already counting down the days till December 26th when we get to go back!!

The fort sign reads:
Keep out of our club we are busy
Leave the door
Hunter Z., Ledger F., Aiden Boss, Brody F., Anna B. Case F.

Moms and Dads and others welcomed
to have a nice day!

Some of the art work the kids made to hang in the fort.
