Today the three boys competed in the White Mountain Golf Tournament. They have been doing the golf clinic all week and today it ended with a bang. Brody and Case decided to compete in 6 holes, while Ledger stuck to just 1 hole. All 3 boys did super today. Jeremy and I had so much fun watching them.

Let's start with Brody. He chose to golf 6 holes today. His group started on hole 5. They played holes 5-9 and then went back to hole 1. Would you believe that Brody got whacked on the leg with a golf ball by some kid who shanked it waaaaay left? Poor guy was minding his own business, just walking on the golf path when out of no where a ball came flying at him. He recovered from his injury and ended up golfing a 52. He did so good on his long drives but like the other boys, the putting was more difficult.
Jeremy drove up this morning to caddy for the boys. Thank goodness he was here since each boy was in his own group. There was a lot of riding around from hole to hole to see each boy!

This tournament is the real deal. Here are some of the scores for the boys 6 hole group. The problem with this tournament is that there are no age groups therefore, a 16 year old could choose to play 6 or even 1 hole of golf. (see my complaint below about the 1 hole boys tournament)
Now on to Case. Case is a great golfer. He has a strong swing but not as much patience as Brody. He just wants to kill the ball, and he does! This is Case and his foursome. These boys were excellent golfers.
Getting the ball on a little tee can be tough for a six year old.

Like Brody, putting was difficult for Case. Figuring out the angle of the putt is tricky.
And finally, Ledger. This boy played a one hole tournament and did fantastic. I was a little disappointed at the boys who signed up for the one hole. The kid that ended up winning it for the boys was 9. Come on parents. Are you really signing your 9 year old up for a 1 hole tournament so they can win? Not that I EVEN thought Ledger had a chance to win the thing, it's just frustrating. A 9 year old is totally capable of playing 3 or more holes! Anyhoo...Ledger did so good and ended up with a score of 26. When he finally made it in the hole, he jumped up in the air and screamed in excitement. Then as we walked off the green he said, "I'm so proud I didn't hit it in the water!" I was too since we were on the 18th hole and it is next to a large pond! I was so proud of him today. He did great!
We have dubbed Ledger "Elvis". He does this funny footwork thing when he hits the ball. It's much like that of Elvis when he used to dance. I finally had to tell Ledger to just keep his feet still while he was swinging. Nice form Ledger. Love how he's still got his head down. Such a pro!

It has been so fun having everyone here at the cabin. I was super lucky that Chandler and Hayley were able to watch Miss B. for me this morning while I helped the boys at the tournament. I wish they lived here all the time. My kids adore them.
