First Walking Accident and One Year Doctor's Appointment

We've been busy!  Today we went to Dr. James for Miss B.'s one year checkup.  I'm telling you, this baby girl is nothing like I ever thought she would be.  I thought if I was ever blessed to have a baby girl that she would have blond hair, blue eyes.  That she would be dainty and sweet.  I always thought she would be happy and quiet.  Not the case with this little girl.  Besides the obvious brown eyes, brown hair, she is LOUD, RAMBUNCTIOUS, and continues to do things my boys would have never even thought of.  Case in Point:  Today we walk into the Doctors office and my ever so sweet (haha) little girl spits up all over the floor.  We're talking the spit up that only 2 month old babies are capable of doing.  The office manager (who happens to be Jeremy's aunt) quickly grabs the sanitary wipes and cleans it up for me.  Gross for her right? Then, they ask me to take off all her clothes down to her diaper so they can get all the measurements on her.  The doctor then comes in and we talk, discuss and wrestle the little patient who is too little to be so strong and wiggly.  The Doctor takes her diaper off and checks her (for what I'm never really sure) and then sits her up.  He and I continue to talk and all of a sudden I look at her and she has peed all over the table she is sitting on.  This was more then a little piddle of pee, this is a flood!  Can I just say that not once have I had a baby boy pee on the doctors table during, before or after a checkup!! Not once people!!
On to other exciting news, yesterday I'm in the kitchen and I hear Miss B. in the playroom saying, "Uh Oh!" "Uh Oh!" "Uh Oh!" I go to open the door and realize that Ledger has locked her in the playroom.  I quickly grab the key like thinggy and pry the door open.  There stands Miss B., blood dripping down her nose saying, "Uh Oh!"  I quickly grab my camera, as any good Mom would, and begin taking pictures. I start cleaning her up and realize that she has done a number on her nose.  Of course I have no idea what she did but it looks as if one of her brothers drug her by her feet, face down, and she has carpet burn across her nose.  It's funny... I mean sad!
Anyhoo!  At one year, Miss B weighs 20.1 pounds (32%) and is 29.5 inches long (63%).  Her head is measuring 17.6 inches (41%) and she is growing very well. Things to know at age one: Miss B. should be off the bottle.  She is using her right hand just fine.  That little flat spot on the back of her head is normal and was not caused by her brothers dropping her. We are happy she made it to her first doctor's appointment.  She is so comfortable with the pediatrician that she pees on his table.  There is no need to call CPS because that huge ouchy on her nose was just and accident.  She is dang cute and we love her and her wild personality a bunch!
How many teeth do you have Miss B.?  LOTS!

The cutest pink and white 1st birthday party ever!

Yes I really did use that title for my post.

Wait until you see the pink explosion that happened last Friday night at Miss B.'s first birthday party.  While I do realize it is slightly obnoxious and a little overboard, I just can't help myself right now.  I'm in love with this cute baby girl and all the PINKNESS that goes with her!  About a month ago when I realized that my Little Spunky would soon be turning one, I decided that I needed a PINK themed party just for her.  I had know idea what a PINK party looked liked other then you obviously decorate with PINK .  As I started looking online, I couldn't believe all the possibilities. Lucky for me, my Mom owns a Cricuit and was happy to let me borrow it.  Can I just say, "Awwwwwesome!" The possibilities are endless on those machines and my Brian was going WILD thinking of all the cuteness I could make for the PINK party.  (By the way, I have know idea why I keep capitalizing the word PINK in this post other then I'm super excited about my new favorite color!)  The party was for family only which is unusual for me.  Since it is still 109 degrees outside, I needed a small crowd that could fit inside my house.  The party was great and Miss B. was waaaaay cute in her birthday outfit.  So sit back and relax cause there are gonna be a lot of pictures coming up (remember, this blog is my family journal). Let's get started!
Although we rarely let Miss B. eat candy, I wanted a candy bar with PINK only candy.  If you ever need to order candy, try a company called Oh Nuts! You can actually order candy by color.  They have all variety's and kinds, I highly recommend them! Do know that they will not ship chocolate to Arizona because of the heat!  How do you like the 3 foot balloons on either side of the candy bar?  They were so big and cute.  I ordered them also from a company and had the helium put in them at the party store down the street.  It took Jeremy 2 trips cause they were so big and only 2 could fit in his truck!! Looove them!!
Some of the candy I had included Watermelon Twists, Circus Animal crackers (you know, the hot pink and white frosted ones!), Rock Candy, Strawberry Whoppers, Bubble Gum Candy Sticks, Grapefruit Sours, Strawberry Salt Water Taffy, Yogurt Pretzels, and Pink Extra Bubble Gum. This was the party favor that the guests got to take home after the party.  A huge thanks to Miss Tauna for using her awesome handwriting to write on the labels.
Here is the birthday girl eating a handmade lollipop from the candy bar.
Cyndi makes the best cupcakes in the world.  Sometimes I wonder just what it is she puts in them, but I totally trust that it's legal!  They looked even cuter with cupcake toppers that had the number 1 and letter B on them.  Oh they were just CUTE!!
Who doesn't love a cupcake centerpiece?  Ooooh Laaaa Laaaa!! I'm in love!

Every birthday girl needs a tutu covered highchair at her first party right? How do you like the banner that reads Miss B?  I mostly like that cute boy with the goofy smile standing next to the highchair.  Poor kid is trying so hard to get that smile thing down.
Another banner I made.  This one says Berkley.  How about those pink and white polka dot balloons?  I ordered those from the same company as they 3 foot balloons.  Ohhh they make me happy!!
A view from my family room to the kitchen.  On the menu:  Mattas of course.  Who doesn't like beef taquitos, burritos, Louies, Chips, Salsa, beans and rice?  I did make an awesome relish tray and fruit platter.  Can you say Yummmm?  Of course every PINK party needs Cyndi's PINK lemonade.  My boys are so addicted to this stuff.  One taste and you'll know why!
Not having a dining room table has it's perks.  For one, I can seat about 14 people at the rectangle tables in this room.  Second, I can decorate it with PINK madness from floor to ceiling.  I had so much fun learning how to make PINK pom poms of all sizes to hang from the ceiling in this room. Just check out Martha Stewarts site for more info.  I also loooove the Happy Birthday banner made on the Cricuit.
So here she is...Miss Birthday girl. I know what you're thinking. Where did the cotton candy machine blow up, and why was my baby standing so close to it! Could you just eat her up in this outfit?  I wish I could say I made this PINK cuteness, but I didn't.  I ordered it from a super talented lady who has an ETSY shop.  (Sorry I can't think of her name right now.)   A big thanks to our neighbor Priscilla for stopping by to play after school and getting stuck babysitting while I finished setting up. Yummy Yummy Yummy!!
Auntie Nicole (who is due with Baby Boy Wood in October) and Presley.
Look at these cute girls.  Mallorie lives across the street from us and Tayler babysits for us.  Miss B. looooves these girls!  They are so cute with her!
Are these the best looking great grandparents ever?
Katlyn, Ledger and Paisley had fun playing in the heat!
Cake time! Is this not the cutest cupcake cake you've ever seen?  LOVE IT!!  Miss B. was all smiles when we all started singing to her.  She smiled at all of us and even laughed, it was cute.
After we sang, she stuck her little hands right in the cake, licked her fingers and that was it.  I was really surprised she didn't just crush that cake into pieces.  She was very sweet and polite about it!
Sugar, Miss B. and G-Pa
The best present of the night was a baby stroller that Sugar gave her.  She pushed that thing all over the house.  Some of the other gifts included, adorable GIRL clothes, an apron made by Sugar with Miss B.'s name embroidered on it, a baby set that included a doll, highchair, crib and stroller, money from GG and G-Pa, books, shoes, a piggy bank and an adorable cupcake bracelet.
Ava had fun pushing the birthday girl around in the baby stroller. It was hilarious!
You made it though all the details of my PINK party.  It was so fun and I loved every minute of getting ready for it! The end!

One Year Ago...

I sat in a hospital room eating grilled ham and cheese sandwiches from the cafeteria.  It had been 24 hours since I had welcomed a cute baby girl into our family.  Her name was still unknown.  I had dressed and redressed her at least 6 times in that 24 hour period.  I sat and stared at her all smothered in PINK!  She had huge flower headbands covering her tiny head and tutu's of every color to match.  She was soft and oh so PINK!  I cried over and over from the burning I had in my abdomen from the C-Section.  I held her and cried.  I couldn't believe this bundle of PINK was MINE.  I had wanted her for a looooong time.  I loved each of my boys tremendously, but wanted this cute pinkness so so bad!  I had waited patiently and she was finally here!  After deciding on the perfect name for her, we brought her home to our rambunctious and rowdy family.  She fit in great and grew to love each of her brothers.  They loved her too...a little too much! She ate, pooped, slept, and grew.  She rolled over, sat up, crawled, stood up and walked.  And now here I am, one year later happy to say she survived it all!  Oh there were times I worried.  As each of the boys would pick her up and run across the house with her dangling from their little arms.  Or the times she would be splashing her hands in the toilet that one of the boys had just used (yes I know boys don't flush the toilet!) The many days I find her on top of my bathtub steps, on the fireplace, or even the playroom chairs.  These times have all caused me reason to worry.  But I am happy to say that yesterday we celebrated the first birthday of our baby girl and she was there celebrating with us!! We had the pinkest party you can imagine along with the pinkest cupcakes ever made (more on that later).  So at one year old here is what I can tell you about little Miss B:

*She loves to scream.  It's loud and frequent and makes my brain do a little spasm thing.  It's not a good thing and is really making us all crazy.
*Her favorite thing to say is "UH OH!" She also says, "All Done!" clear as can be.
*She loves drinking from a sippy cup but also loves to throw it across the room when she is finished with it.
*She is enjoying using a fork to eat with.  I get the food on the fork and hand it to her and she puts it in her mouth.
*Her brothers continue to be the love of her life.
*If you hand her a cracker, she will crunch it with her hand and then drop all the little pieces on the ground.
*She loves to pull her flower out of her hair, throw it across the car, house, grocery store, etc. and then say, "UH OH!"
*She also loves to throw her binky out of her crib and then scream until you come stick it back in her mouth.  That game is going to end SOON!
*She (and I) are ADDICTED to her binky!
*Her favorite foods are fruits and veggies she can eat on her own.  She loves blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, peaches, asparagus, green beans, cheese, mandarin oranges.  She is not a huge meat eater which I can totally relate to.
*She started walking last week.  She is a pro but is not patient enough to do it all the time cause it's just too slow.
*She is the fastest crawler I've ever seen!
*She has tons of fun emptying my cabinets and cupboards.
*She doesn't seem to mind that I dress her like a super girly girl even though I think she is gonna be a tomboy (like me!)
*She looks waaaay cute in PINK!
*She rides to the bus stop with us every morning on the tricycle that I push.  It's pretty cute if I may say so!
*She loves throwing things.  Legos, balls, toys.  She has  pretty good arm (maybe she'll be a ball player!)
*She is a flirt.
*When you pick her up to carry her on your hip, she wraps her legs around you super tight. Maybe she learned this from all those trips across the house from her brothers.
*When you ask for a kiss, its a big wide open one, YUMMY!
*She can be sweet and wild at the same time.
*She still takes two naps a day (as long as we are home for them).  One at 9:00, the other at 1:30/2:00ish.
*I still have her on formula cause I'm trying to use up all of what I have in my pantry.  She takes a bottle after breakfast, lunch and dinner.  It's usually about 5-6 ounces.
*She is the poopinist baby I've raised.  That means she poops all day long!
*She NEVER sleeps in her car seat.  She can be super tired but won't go to sleep. (She totally got that from me.  I like MY own bed and MY own house when I sleep!)  That's gonna have to change little Spunky!  We're too busy to not sleep in the car!
*She will take my cell phone and hold it up to her ear and pretend she is talking on it. (she totally got that from her Dad!)
*She waves, "Bye Bye" to anyone and everyone.
*When she is eating something that she really loves she will say, "mmmmmMMMMmmm."
*She is beyond loved in this house!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY MISS B.!
