Last Minute Bowling

I have been asking Case for WEEKS what he wants to do for his 9th birthday party. He could never make up his mind on what would be fun.  He tossed around the cabin and laser tag, non of which seemed fun for him.  Then all of a sudden it was his birthday and he hadn't made up his mind.  I suggested bowling and he thought that sounded like a good idea.  So I text a couple of his friends and we were all set!  We loaded up my car, my mom's new car and Jeremy's truck and headed over to the Brunswick Zone in Gilbert.  Here is who went with us:
Ledger, Case, Nate, Jack, Jackson, Drew, Jordan, Quin, Brody,
Berkley, Jefferson, Parker and Chandler.
These boys had an absolute ball tonight!  They were hilarious!
Case loved having all his friends with him tonight.  This is the cutest 9 year old boy on earth!
We had to get 2 lanes and there was a little friendly competition going on with the 2 lanes of boys.
Of course we ordered everything on the menu and these boys ate and ate and ate!
Even little Miss B. got in on the action!
During the second game of bowling, Case opened his presents.
Case's friend Chandler gave him this cool bow and arrow.  He was beyond excited!
After bowling, we took all the boys back to our house for pizza and soda.  These boys had just as much fun at our house then they did at the bowling alley.
I hadn't really planned for cake or ice cream at the party so Case got to blow out his candle in a small bowl of mints.  I don't think he cared.  Tonight was so fun!  Even though it was last minute, it was a great party!

Nine Oh Nine!

My cute Case is 9 today!  I can't hardly stand to think about it!  This boy is so awesome! He is athletic, smart, witty, stylish and fun!
For breakfast this year, Case requested his favorite things, eggs, bacon, toast and hash browns. He didn't want breakfast in bed this year because he didn't want to be alone eating in his bedroom.
Happy birthday sweet Case.  I love you so much buddy!

St. Patrick's Day at Cubs Park

Happy first official day of spring break!
To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, we threw on our green clothes and headed over to Cubs Park for a spring training game.  This was the first time we had been inside the new spring training stadium and it was nice.
We had the perfect seats and the weather was perfect.
Since Jeremy volunteers for the Ho Ho Kams, we were able to spend a few minutes with him before he had to go back to work.
After about the 6th inning, we had had enough so we left and headed over to the new park at the stadium.  This park is so much fun!  The kids played for a couple hours on this crazy climbing thing and the splash pad. Can you see any of my kids?
For a minute, I thought Ledger was stuck up there.  He kinda walked in circles for about 10 minutes in the same spot.
Did I mention that the park has a zip line?
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

2 Steelers

Every Saturday morning we get up at 6:00 and head over to Williams Field and Lindsay for flag football games.  Both Case and Ledger are playing this season and are both on the Steelers team.  Ledger has become quite the flag football player this season.  He makes touchdowns every game along with pick 6's and interceptions.  It has been so fun watching him this winter season.
Check out this funny picture of Ledger staring down the other team with his hands in his pockets.  Hilarious!
Ledger is a flag pulling maniac this season.
 Love watching this boy play!
In case you can't tell by the size difference, Case is playing on the 9-11 team this season.  Although he is one of the youngest on the team, he is still pulling flags and making big plays.
This boy lives for Saturday morning games.  He is all about flag football right now.
Can you even imagine what these two boys are talking about as they walk off the field? Nothing like playing flag football with your best friend every week!
This boy is a determined player. I love that this makes him happy and that he is good at it.
Way to go Steelers!

First Grade Track and Field

Today it was Ledger's turn for track and field.  This boy could hardly wait another minute after seeing both Brody and Case have their track and field yesterday.
The water race was the first event of the day. Nothing like getting soaked on a warm spring afternoon.
Ledger has some cute friends.  Jack, Ledger and Gwen.
Oh look!  Ledger with a ball in his hands.  This boy sleeps with some type of ball every night.
Don't worry Ledger, I won't tell anyone that the Mom's beat the first grade class at tug-of-war!
The obstacle course is so funny to watch...especially with these little first graders.
I love that I don't have to work right now and that I am able to help out at school functions like track and field.  Happy 16th anniversary to me!
