Kindergarten Track And Field Day

Today was a long hot one.  It started with track and field day for kindergarten.  I had signed up to be a parent helper for all 3 boys and then the kindergarten and second grade track and field days ended up getting cancelled due to rain.  I loved helping today because I was able to go from station to station with Ledger and his class. There was a fun scoops and balls station that Ledger loved.
Tug Of War was so fun!
The obstacle course was Ledger's favorite.
Ledger's best friend in his class is this cute boy.  His name is DeMarco and he is darling.
I couldn't stop laughing as I watched Ledger jumping over the hurdles.
This kid is the BEST!  I loved spending the morning with him.

Spring Break

Spring break this year was nice.  Although we didn't go to the cabin like we usually do, we enjoyed time at home playing, relaxing, and soaking up the beautiful weather.
I took the kids to the Phoenix Children's Museum on one of the days.  They love the indoor climbing area.  It is AMAZING!
Miss B. made us fabric salad while we were there.
Case dreamed of having his own motorcycle.
Ledger did some grocery shopping.
Brody entertained us all by riding on the tricycles.
Although it was spring break, we were in full swing with baseball practices.  YUCK!
Miss B. brought this 3 leaf clover home from school before spring break.  I cracked up when I read it.  Little did she know her wish was about to come true.  Jeremy took me to Vegas for our 15 year anniversary during the last weekend of spring break.  Of course I was having MAJOR anxiety about leaving.  The thought of the airplane ride kept me of the verge of throwing up for about 3 weeks prior to us leaving.  The idea of leaving my kids was making me SICK!  We've only left our kids 1 other time in 10 years so you can see why I was freaking out.
We stayed at The Wynn Hotel and this was the view from our room.  It was AMAZING!  We really had a great time while we were away but I was super happy when our plane landed in Sky Harbor airport on Sunday afternoon!  A huge thank you to my mom who watched my kids the first night we were gone and my sister in law who stayed at our house the second night.  The kids loved going to the Arizona Science Center with Sugar and swimming in her KINDA heated pool.  They also loved making cookies with Aunt Missy and playing with the boy cousins at her house.
I hate that spring break is over.  I love the lazy days of being home with my kiddos.  I love that we don't have to stay on such a tight schedule and that we can relax and be ourselves at home.  The good news is that school is out in about 9 weeks.  We can do it!!  How was your spring break?

Fourth Grade Track and Field Day

Today I had the opportunity to help at the fourth grade track and field day.  I really didn't  know what to expect since this is our first year at the school.  I have to say, it was so fun and well organized!  I was in charge of the hurdles which was total entertainment for 2 and a half hours.
I did learn that next time I sign up to help at track and field, I need to sign up to be a class helper, not a station helper.  The only event that I was able to see Brody compete in was the hurdles.
Brody and his friend Nathan.  There are really some nice kids at Brody's new school.  He still struggles with missing all his friends at his other school, but hopefully it will get easier for him.

It's Friday,March 1st

I should be happy that's it's Friday but honestly....I'm feeling a little stressed.  The last 2 Friday's have not been very good for me.  2 Friday's ago we awoke at 1:00 in the morning to someone trying to break into our house.  Luckily our house alarm went off and we were all safe.  Jeremy went after the punk who was hiding on the side of our house, but was unable to see who it was or what he/she looked like. Unfortunately for us, the camera's that we installed after our last brake in accidentally unplugged when I dropped a large box on the cord earlier that night.  What's worse is that Jeremy was supposed to be at the Webeloree with Brody that night and at the last minute he sent his Dad with Brody and stayed home so he could attend our annual Valentine's dinner and movie with friends. Thank goodness he was home!
Then....last Friday I was stopped at Higley and University (on my way to teach Art Masterpiece  in Brody's class) and some dude rear ended me.  I had no idea what had happened when we first got hit because he didn't even break.  He basically drove right into me.  Berkley and I hit our heads pretty bad on the back of the seats (and carseat) so we headed over to Banner Gateway to get checked out.  All was good and I will be getting my car fixed soon.  I felt bad for the poor guy who ran into me.  He was in town from Pennsylvania because his mother had double knee replacement surgery and is not longer able to take care of herself.  He was in Arizona to put her in a care home so she could get help.  He felt terrible as he explained that his mind was just all over the place thinking about his mom.  His poor car was totaled.  It was a small little car so you can imagine when it hit my HUGE car how bad it was for him.  So this leads me to my point... things happen in 3's right?  First it was the break in.  Then the car accident.  What's next?  Needless to say I am super worried.  I have been in tears more then once in the past week worried about what could possibly happen to me next.  It sounds dumb but I am a worry wart like this.  I have a tendency to worry about things I can't control.  I realize how silly this is, but I can't help it at this point. I'm totally hoping that my freezer goes out or that my dishwasher breaks.  I think I could handle that!
Miss B and I showing off our matching bracelets!

What do you do when you get out of school all week at 1:25?

You go to El Charro and then a Spring Training game!
The boys have been getting out of school all week at 1:25 for parent teacher conferences.  I am looooving it!  Although I have not been able to get a dang thing done, we have been using the time to do something fun each day.  On Wednesday, I pulled the kids out of school at 11:30 and took them to El Charro and then to a spring training game at Ho Ho Kam Park.  Being that Jeremy and Papa volunteer at the games, we are able to get good seats and parking! Papa works the gate each game.  We were so happy to see him when we first arrived!
In the past when we have gone to spring training games, it has been super hot.  This time it was freeeeeezing cold.  Being that our seats were in the shade, we froze. That didn't stop us from eating snow cones and frozen lemonade though.
Luckily the game was not very crowded and this little lady could climb up and down the seats.  Otherwise we would have been in big trouble!
The highlight of the game was when Case caught this foul ball.  The batter hit it up and over the top of us.  It hit the metal awning and rolled down.  Case was a mad man running to get it.  He was thrilled and so was I cause we were able to leave after that!  Phewwwww!
As you can see, we had the best seats in the house!
GO CUBS!!
