That's Entertainment

 Get ready for a picture overload people.  This is by far the best recital of the season.  

This morning, Berkley had her musical theatre Christmas recital.  I would say this is one of Berkley's favorite classes because she gets to sing and dance with Miss Jenee who is so fun and cute.  

 This year, the theme was Movie songs.  Some of them included, "Fame" "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead," ""Melakelemaka," ""Together At Last,;" and "Singing In The Rain." 

 I am not kidding when I say that this girl knew every word and action to EVERY song.  

 She sang and danced and laughed and giggled the whole way through.

 This is my favorite thing ever!

 "Singing In The Rain" was a huge hit!

 Can you believe these kids used real umbrellas and no one got hurt?!?!

 Pretending to be asleep on Christmas night.

When it was all over, Santa made a surprise appearance and gave each kid a candy cane.  I can't begin to tell you how cute Berkley was today.  And the best part was, she loved every minute of it.  Can't wait to see her do this again in May.

Zoo Lights

 Tonight my mom and Jim took 11 of the grandkids to dinner and then to zoo lights.  She had to rent a 15 passenger van in order to get everyone there.

 The kids were beyond excited to hang with the cousins tonight.

 Of the 11 kids, 6 were in car seats.  You should have seen the van when they left.  

 Before they went tonight, my mom emailed all of the mom's to ask what their kids would eat for dinner at Outback.  We all emailed our kids orders back to her.  We had to include everything from the food, to the drink, to the dipping sauce. She then called Outback and placed the order so that when they arrived, the food and drinks were sitting on the table ready for them.  The kids walked in, and immediately started eating. 

My mon was terrified taking all the kids tonight (not really).  They had an absolute blast.  When they dropped the kids off at our house tonight, they all had light up gloves, and wands and hair clips flashing in the van.  A few of them were asleep from all the fun.  What a great memory for these kids.

Winter Sing

 Tonight the boys had their winter sing at the school.  This is always a fun night filled with music and smiles. Up first were the first graders.  Ledger sang his little heart out and looked so stinkin cute!

 The good news is, no one threw up this year!

 Up next was Brody.  Its fun to watch Brody up on the stage because he is kinda getting too old for things like this, but because he is such a good boy, he gets up there and sings away!

 The fifth graders sang some cute songs tonight.

 Finally it was Case's turn.  This boy is just waaaaay too cool for anything like this.

 He was a good sport though and sang like he was supposed to.

We loved having the grandparents with us tonight to watch the boys sing.  

Pac 12 Championships

After the robotics competition and the Santa Party, we were able to go to the Pac 12 Championship game with our kids to watch ASU and Stanford.  We were so excited for this game we could hardly stand it.  I was really excited for this game because if our Devils won....we were going to take our kiddos to the Rose Bowl for Christmas instead of doing gifts.

It was particularly cold tonight.  The kids all wore long under ware, sweatshirts and beanies.

Brody wore his Sparky costume tonight and you should have seen the response he got.  People were stopping him left and right asking if they could have his picture taken with him.  It was hilarious!

This little devil is so into Sun Devil football.

Sadly for me, our Devils got KILLED tonight.  There will be no Rose Bowl for us this year which makes me super sad because I now have to buy my kids Christmas gifts.  BLAH!

As you can see, we have the best tickets in the house.  When Brody looked at me at the start of the third quarter and said he wasn't feeling well and that his throat hurt, I knew he must not be feeling well. I ended up leaving with him and Berkley and heading to Urgent Care for 3 hours only to find out that he did not have strep.  What a bummer for the ASU Sun Devils.  It was a sad, sad night for us all.  Next year...ROSE BOWL bound!

Terabots

 For the past 4 month, the Terabots have been meeting weekly as part of the First Lego League.  Cory and Jeremy were the coaches and boy, was this a learning experience for them.  

 Each week as they met, they had to come up with a solution to "Nature's Fury" using the Lego Mindstorm to solve the problem.  

 The Terabots focused on wildfires.  They found a solution for evacuating towns in the event of a wildfire.  They had to not only come up with the Robotics part of it, but they had to come up with a poster and oral presentation describing what they were trying to accomplish.

 Because this was a new experience for Jeremy and Cory, they were super behind about 2 weeks before the competition.  They ended up having 2 hour meetings every night leading up to the big day.  

 This is an example of what the robotics table looked like.  Each pair of kids had a certain task they had to complete in order to solve Nature's Fury.  Using the Mindstorm, they had to solve all the tasks in a certain amount of time.

 This was a great group of kids.  They all worked together well and enjoyed their time learning.

 On the day of the competition, all the teams met at Red Mountain High School to show off their tasks. This was an all day event.  One at a time, the teams would go through their timed tasks.  They had three opportunities to show what they could do.  It was fun and intense all at the same time.

This was a great opportunity for Brody and Jeremy.  They loved spending the time together and learning so many new things along the way.  The Terabots ended up placing 7th in the tournament today which was really good considering this was their first time.  I'm guessing there are a lot more years of Robotics ahead for this family.
