Santa Party

While Jeremy and Brody were at the Robotics competition, the rest of us went to the Santa party at Sheena and John't house.  The kids love this party because it is full of treats and Santa!
Nicole, Presley, Cave and Blake waiting for Santa to arrive.
Berkley, Katlyn and Presley
Ledger, Case, Kunkle and Cave
2 handsome boys.
Berkley asked Santa for LaLa Loopsy Magnets
Ledger told Santa he didn't know what he wanted for Christmas.
Case told Santa he needed more time to figure out what he wanted for Christmas.

This is just crazy!  What kids don't know what they want for Christmas?
Poor Santa has a big job ahead of him.  Good luck Santa!

5th Grade Winter Orchestra Concert

Tonight we were able to attend Brody's orchestra concert at school.  This year, Brody wanted to be in the band and the orchestra but the times weren't working out.  Brody ended up staying with the cello and is loving it.
The 5th grade orchestra is actually pretty good.  I love watching Brody play piano and cello.
I'm so proud of this boy and his willingness to participate in so many good school activities.
Love this kid!

Bass Pro Shop With Nanny and Papa

To get us in the holiday spirit, we met Nanny and Papa at Bass Pro Shop to see Santa.  This was a first for us and I have to say, we loved it.  While we were waiting to see Santa, we rode on the merry go round...
shot guns at targets, raced remote control cars, and looked at all the fun merchandise.
Berkley loved shooting the bow and arrow.
Santa was awesome as were the decorations.
After visiting Santa, we made a cute ornament and then walked over to Mattas for dinner.
We loved Bass Pro Shop and will make this a new tradition.

More fun activities at the cabin

Being at the cabin after Thanksgiving is really fun.  It's a great time to relax, craft, and spend time with the kids.  Along with making gingerbread houses, the kids all made Christmas countdown chains.
They also went shooting at the cinder pits.  Ledger is a really good aim.
Case shooting the AR-15.
Paul helping Case shoot the Springfield 40.
And now Ledger shooting the Springfield 40.
Are you scared?

Thanksgiving Weekend At The Cabin

On Friday morning, Case, Ledger, Berkley and I headed up to the cabin for a short weekend of fun.  Jeremy and Brody went hunting in the Globe area so they didn't get to enjoy the weekend with us.  After I got a huge speeding ticket on the way up, we arrived in time to play and build snowmen.  As you can see, there is barely any snow up here.  I think my kiddos used every ounce of snow they could find to make their snowmen.  This is Case and Ledger's snowman.
This is the "girl" snowman made by Katlyn, Berkley and Anaya.
Saturday morning after breakfast, the kids built gingerbread houses.  This has become a tradition for us during the week of Thanksgiving break.
I think Berkley ate most of her gingerbread toppings.
Case just glops on the frosting and decorations.  He is not really into things like this so he just does it and is done.
Surprisingly, Berkley put a lot of detail and attention into her gingerbread house.
Helping 3 kids with gingerbread houses is tricky.  Luckily there were plenty of other moms and dads there to help.
