Just add water!

How fun is it to jump on the trampoline with the hose spraying you?

School is almost here but we are not giving up on having fun this summer. Last Thursday after swim lessons, Jackson and Jefferson came over for one last play date before the new year starts. After playing Legos and swords for an hour, we headed outside to the extreme heat! We got out the slip and slide, put a hose on the trampoline and swing set and played till we couldn't stand the heat any longer. I will definitely miss the easy going days of summer!

Around The Pool...

...these signs are hanging up.

Although the tooth fairy made a visit, Brody is determined to find that missing tooth that sunk to the bottom of the deep end. No luck yet but he is not giving up hope. Oh..in case you are wondering what the reward is. Brody told all his swim team friends that he would give them $10.00 if they found his tooth. When Sugar explained that he would be loosing out on the deal since he only got $5.oo from the tooth fairy he said, " I figured no one would look for my tooth for JUST 5 bucks!" Hmmmm...JUST 5 bucks? Time to have another little lesson on money!

Learning So Much The First Week Of School

12-5-08

On the way home from El Charro tonight Brody tells us:

B: "Mom, did you know that if you stick your middle finger in the air it's like saying a bad word?"

M: "What?" "Who told you that?"

B: "One of the boys in my new class said if you stick your middle finger in the air it's the same as saying a bad word." "What bad word does it mean mom?"

M: "It's a word that we don't ever say in our house and if I ever hear you say it, I'll stick 5 bars of soap in your mouth and make you suck on them all night."

B:"I think I know what word it is mom." It's (spelling it out) h-a-t-e.

M: (laughing with Jeremy in the front seat) It's way worse then that Brody!

B: "Oh I know mom, it's s-u-c -s or s-u-k-s (trying to spell sucks). Mom did you know people at my school say bad words all the time!"

M: "What??" (thinking to myself, what have I done by moving him to this new school?)

B: Yeah mom, they say hate, stupid, butt and sucks.

M: (still trying not to laugh) So do you tell them not to say that in front of you? You can tell them that you don't like them talking like that in front of you!

B: "No way Mom!! They'll punch me in the face!"

M: (Thinking to myself) Oh the joys of public school!! Can't wait to hear what he learns next week!
