Super Saturday

Well...we survived another fun filled Saturday.  This week it was the flag football championships which meant along with the 2 basketball games and baseball tryouts, we had 6 football games!  It was insane but oh so fun, especially since Brody's 7-8 year old team took 1st place and Case's 5-6 team took 3rd.  These boys were so happy that all the practice and time paid off today.
Brody is loving being on the flag football team with such great kids.  This has been a great experience for him.  While Brody has a lot to learn, he enjoys the social part of being on the team.  Way to go Bears!
Good thing this catch wasn't for the win! YIKES!
Coach Leo has been great for Brody.  He is really patient and kind and has taught Brody a ton about the sport.
And here they are...the 2012, 7-8 year old winter season champions.  Way to go boys!
Case loves flag football.  What could be better then playing tag with a football?  This kid is pretty good for just learning the sport.
And here are the 3rd place 5-6 year old winter season winners! You may remember that in the fall season, Brody's team was the 3rd place winners and Case's team the 1st place winner.  How fun for these kids.
Coach BJ and Coach Jared are awesome!  They love the sport and love these kids.
After 6 football games (and a missed basketball game), Brody had baseball tryouts.  The kids and I dropped Brody and Jeremy off at the field and went to get a sandwich (at 3:45) then came back and grabbed them and headed off to Ishikawa for Case's basketball game.
This kid is hilarious!  Suddenly, he has learned to throw elbows and bug the living daylights out of whoever is is blocking.  Jeremy and I just laugh at this kid the entire time he is on the court.
The good news is, we only had one injury today.  Poor Ledger got stuck in a tree while playing with Little E.
Poor Miss B. got fried today at the 6 football games!  By time we got to the 5:00 basketball game, we were all feeling like this! EXHAUSTED!  This girl is truly amazing.  She is happy and excited to be included in all this madness.  Maybe one day I will make the boys sit through 6 hours of dance class and gymnastics so they can see what she has to deal with each week.  Good thing she is so happy all the time! Love this girl!
