Happy Birthday Berkley

I can't even believe that the little Misses is turning three today. Crazy crazy! The morning started off with the traditional breakfast in bed.  Breakfast included waffles, bacon, english muffins and of course, orange julius.
Is is just me or does this picture look like Berkley has butterfly antennae on her head? Funny.  I love this picture of Berkley because her new big girl bed is my childhood bed.  I have many pictures in my bed just like this (minus the PINK. I was more of a tom boy and despised the color PINK!).

 Making a wish.
After her nap, Berkley got to go shopping with Jeremy.  She scored with some cute skinny jeans, a dress for church and some darling shoes!  After her shopping spree, she and Jeremy met the boys, Sugar, GG and GPa and I  at Mattas for dinner.
Happy 3rd Birthday Miss B.
You are the cutest thing ever.
I love that you love to read books all day long.
You have the best dance moves I've ever seen.
I love that you can hold your own against these brothers of yours.
I love that you are girly and want to wear a necklace and flower in your hair EVERY day.
You make me so happy when you tell me how much you love me and that I am the BEST mom ever!
It is seriously so fun to have you home with me each day.  There is no one I would rather be with.
I am so lucky to have you in my life.
You make me the happiest mom ever.
I hope you have the best birthday ever!

WARNING!!! Bear Sighting!

Last Tuesday, Brody received his Cub Scout Bear award.  He (WE) worked so hard during our month at the cabin to finish all the requirements. Phewwwww!  Along with his Bear, Brody earned 5 arrow points, 1 gold and 4 silver.  In case you are unfamiliar with the Cub Scout program, you have to accomplish 10 requirements to earn 1 arrow.  That should tell you how busy we were at the cabin! He also earned a belt loop for computers, roller skating, volleyball, communicating and  good manners.  What a fun night!
I love that the boys get to "pin" their mom and dad when they earn awards such as the Bear.  As a mom, I know that the cub scout program is a LOT of work not only for the cub scout, but for the parents. This really teaches the boy to see how they got to this point in cub scouting.
Brother and Sister Myers have been great Bear leaders.  For one of their activities, they made instruments.  They performed their instruments at the pack meeting while singing, "Yankee Doodle." It was cute.  It's hard to believe that their are only 2 Bears in Brody's pack.  In January, we will have no Bears and no Wolves.  Case will be our next boy to come into Cub Scouts and that is in April.  He will be there a year by himself.  Our ward has recently decided that we will need to combine with the other wards in order to make our park work. It's a bummer that we don't have more boys in our ward.

Preschool 2012

On Tuesday, Berkley started preschool with Miss Jody and Miss Lauren.  She has been patiently waiting for her turn ever since her brothers all started last month. She is excited to play dress up and read books, play play doh and sing songs.
Miss B. loves her backpack that Sugar gave her last year for her birthday.  It's the perfect size for her.
Hooray for preschool!  It's going to be a great year!

Whose The Liar?

Who was it that told me potty training little girls is, "So much easier then boys?"   Oh wait...ALL OF YOU!  This little lady of mine has been so difficult to potty train that I'm really ready to just throw her back in a diaper.  As far as the pee thing...no problem.  We mastered that in a day.  The other...YIKES! We've tried giving Miss B. candy every time she goes.  We've taken her to the dollar store.  We've had pee pee parties.  Nothing seems to work.  We bought her a princess potty and that seems to have helped a little, but not enough for me to feel comfortable that she will go when I'm not around (which would only be at preschool.) If any of you mom's of girls have any suggestions for me, I would really appreciate it.  How did you get your almost 3 year old potty trained?
Never did my boys have a problem using the potty when potty training.  They peed on bushes, rocks, trees, cheerios.  It was easy.  They had a target and wanted to "hit it." They had more accidents then Miss B. has had, but they never really had such a problem pooping.  You can see the frustration from the picture above. We do this for about 2 hours every day only to have nothing happen.  If someone were taking a picture of me at this moment...I would look the exact same...only with wrinkles and frown lines! Please help!

Little Fish

Another season of swim lessons has come to an end.  It was hot and sticky sitting outside each day, but oh so fun!
This year miss b decided she couldn't swim without goggles.  It was kinda funny watching her swim with them because they were always super full of water.  She would empty them out after each swim and then decide that she needed a different pair of goggles.  She wore at least 4 pairs of goggles each lesson.
When I say that this girl is a fish, I really am not kidding.  Not only can she hold her breath for a really long time, she can swim the butterfly, breaststroke and backstroke super well!  It was really fun to watch.
Berkley's favorite thing at swim lessons is jumping off the diving board.
She loved jumping off the board, swimming through the ring in the deep end, and then swimming across the pool.
It was a fun summer for all of us.  What could be better then swimming with Miss Carolyn?
