The Force Was Strong At This Birthday Party!

The kids receiving their Jedi Training!

No party would be complete without Darth Vader and Dark Maul.

After fighting, the kids received Jedi Knight certificates.

This Mom was super proud of her Jedi Knight Birthday boy! As you know, we love to dress up for our parties.  Mom, Brody and Case were Jedi while Ledger was Yoda and Dad...Darth Vader, Shhhh...don't tell!

So I mentioned earlier that Case celebrated his 4th birthday Friday night Star Wars style.  It was seriously so fun!  Here's what we did.  Shortly after the kids arrived, the Jedi Master (Baylor Sezate) gathered the kids out front for some training of their own.  They each received a lightsaber (made from a pool noodle and silver duct tape) and begin learning the moves needed to defeat Darth Vader.  Out of no where, Darth and Dark Maul showed up, ready to take over the newly trained Jedi.  Not at this party!  The jedi knights sprung into action using the force to battle these two chumps!  One at a time, the kids came up (the ones that weren't totally freaked out and scared!) to fight.  The Star Wars music blared throughout the yard and the battle was fought!  As you can see, the newly trained Jedi won and Darth Vader and Dark Maul had to leave the party!  After the fight, each child received a Jedi Master certificate showing that they had conquered evil!  We then headed out back for dinner.  Case was very specific on what he wanted on the menu.  We ended up with ham and turkey sandwiches (made on homemade silver dollar rolls), veggies with Ranch, cut up fruit, 5 bean casserole, pasta salad, and of course, cupcakes and ice cream made by my sweet friend Cyndi! It all tasted great and we had tons left over.  Apparently, Mexican food goes over way better for the night parties then light healthy sandwiches.  All in all it was a great party and Case loved every minute of it!  He told us, "I had the mostest fun then anyone!"  The celebration continued on Sunday (his realy birthday) with a breakfast at Egg and I with Kunkle, Nicole, Presley, Sugar, Jim and our family.  Sunday night we celebrated Easter and Case's birthday at Sugar's house (more to come on this later!) Today, Case celebrated his birthday with breakfast in bed and then a party at preschool with left over Texas Sheet Cake, more Lightsabers, and Star Wars goody boxes.  I would say it has been a great 4th birthday for this cute kid!

Happy Birthday Case!

This little man is 4 today! Well actually, he thinks he's 5 today since he had his party Friday night.  He tells me he turned 4 at his Star Wars The Clone Wars party so now today he is 5!    I can hardly believe it!  He had an awesome Star Wars party Friday night that I will blog about later, but right now I wanted to share with you a little about Case.  This is the most determined kid you will meet.  There isn't anything he won't try because he thinks he can do it all.  Case has always been the kid who is 25 years old but stuck in a little body!  Case goes to preschool 3 days a week and is learning so much.  He can write his name by himself, he knows his birthday (April 5 he says), and he can count to 25.  He goes to speech therapy 2 times a week for an articulation delay.  He just started his 3rd season of T-ball and will start swim lessons this week.  Case is super athletic and strong.  He loves his brothers and doing anything with the guys.  He is a mans man!  Case is oddly enough my most loving, snuggly kid of the bunch.  He has a big heart and he loves to share. He is rowdy and wild and makes our family laugh with his funny voice and goofy personality.  So here are a few things about Case that you may not know.

Favorite Color: Purple
Favorite food:  Eggs, bacon, toast
Best Friend:  I like all my friends
Favorite Movie:  Star Wars The Clone Wars
Favorite thing to do at school:  Play motorcycles
Favorite thing to do at home: Watch Star Wars The Clone Wars
What do you like best about Brody:  He plays with me
What do you like best about Ledger:  He plays with my light sabers when I don't want too.
Favorite restaurant:  Eggs and Eyes (Egg and I)
What do you want to be when you grow up:  A person who plays sports!

Happy Birthday cute kid!  I sure love you!

Batter Up!!

Brody making contact with the ball

Waiting for the pitch

Making friends on 2nd base

Last night Brody had his first Coach Pitch game!  I think Jeremy and I were more nervous then he was.  As the parents we were so afraid he wouldn't make contact with the ball and he would get frustrated or sad and want to quit!  Not the case at all!  Every time Brody got up to bat he made contact!  It was AWESOME!  He ran the bases like a pro and even made a friend or too along the way!  It was a great start to baseball season!

Cousins

Ella, Case, Brody, Sugar, Presley, Brooklyn, and Ledger

Over Spring Break, my sister and her girls flew in from Pennsylvania to spend 10 days with us.  The cousins had so much fun playing together, I wish they would move back so they could play all the time!  Yesterday, my Mom decided she wanted a picture of the grandkids and her.  What a joke!  I seriously don't know how you people do these family pictures where you all look adorable.  We can't ever seem to get all the kids looking in the same direction let alone get them to hold still long enough to get a picture. Anyhow, even though they may all be looking somewhere different, they look cute!

What Have You Been Doing?

Jeremy and the boys chillin' on the hammock!

The oldest of the bunch riding the quad!

H and Presley

Brooklyn and Ella driving the jeep.  She has to be the worst driver I've ever seen!  Sorry Ella Girl, but Case and Ledger will not be driving with you in 13 years!

Ledger loves going "Zoom Zoom" on the quad!

We've been at the cabin!  All the kiddos are sick.  If you think coughing, sneezing, fevers, runny noses and watery eyes are gonna stop this rowdy bunch from having fun, you're CRAZY!  No Way...not on Spring Break! What have you been doing for Spring Break?
