This afternoon we headed over to Freestone Park to meet up with 60 family members from Jeremy's side of the family for Easter fun. It was scheduled a week early since Easter Sunday is such a crazy day with church schedules and family gatherings. Although a little warm, (95 degrees) it was fun seeing all the cousins and their kiddos that we rarely see. We ate, played on the playground and had an Easter egg hunt for the kids 10 and under. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon. This week is gonna be a busy one for all of us. The first of the out-of-towners arrive Monday night, followed by the rest of them arriving Thursday afternoon. It will be a jam-packed week of eating El Charro, catching up, and fighting over Easter eggs during the adult only hunt! I can hardly wait! Easter is one of my favorite holidays. For starters, is it just me or is the candy better then normal during Easter? Second, how fun is it to think there is a giant Easter bunny who delivers goodies into Easter baskets and hides colorful eggs around the yard while we sleep? And finally, how about the weather during Easter? PERFECT!!
